Went to this Dagwoods recently and won’t be returning. The place was noticeably dirty, and the ingredients didn’t look fresh. The lettuce was almost brown, and the tomatoes were on the verge of spoiling. Overall, not a clean or appetizing experience.

I’ve been a loyal customer of the Dagwoods location in Saint-Charles since they first opened. However, during my last two visits this year, I was disappointed to notice that the signature ‘Dagwoods’ sandwich has noticeably less meat than in the past. The portion size has clearly been reduced—what some might call ‘shrinkflation.’ It felt quite skimpy compared to what I’ve come to expect over the years. I sincerely hope this isn’t a growing trend of charging more for less, as it undermines the quality and value that made me a regular customer in the first place.

Went to Dagwoods on Charles blvd. I was so disappointed. First my brother and I parked our bikes near the windows and I asked if we could sit near our bikes and she told me that section is closed! All the nice tables near the windows were off limits and blocked by chairs. Imagine a closed section in a fast food restaurant at 11:45am. The place was empty except for us. Employees have no personalities and look like they don’t even want to be there. Absolutely no ambience or personality in this place. Sandwich seemed pretty small and when we left, not one word from either employee. Not like “Have a nice day” or “thank you”. So easy to see how much this place has gone downhill. I remember 10 years ago seeing a line backed up to the door. So sad. Need a restaurant 101 course to improve things here. I am done and that was my last meal there.

I love Dagwoods and prefer it hands down to Subway or other sandwich restaurants. I always order my favorite sub, the grilled chicken with veggies. Their bread, chicken, and toppings are always fresh, and they always give you generous amounts in the subs, unlike the other places. Service at my Dagwoods is always great.

I went there this morning, and I recognized the young lady that was working. I was in a super rush. She banged out my sandwich very quickly and it was freshly and perfectly made. She was also very pleasant which made it a perfect transaction. Highly recommended.

I thought I was the only one who experienced a bad time but seeing these reviews, clearly there’s an issue. I remember going there since I was a kid. Used to be a vibrant joint all through childhood until I visited again for the first time in years. Although the young girl working there was enthusiastic and sharp, the rest of the atmosphere is as cold as the service from the manager. I asked him about the new side of potatoes they offer and coldly responded “they’re potatoes”. Little girl had to awkwardly intervene and tell me they’re like tater tots. I truly feel bad for that employee. Seems like the franchise owner was dining in but was on the phone arguing out loud both on the phone and with the manager. Comes off as a real big shot compensating for some sort of underlying insecurities. Both men were arguing about things not being up to required standard and that with a customer inside the restaurant.Bread tasted frozen, no where near as fresh as it used to be. As for the cold cuts and dressings, can’t really mess those up, fortunately for them.Piece of advice, instead of copy pasting a reply to your customers experiencing a such a miserable experience, maybe address the issues once and for all considering the amount of horrible you guys are receiving.
