We went there for coffee and muffins, it was excellent! The setting is cute. Very friendly staff. I would have liked to see the prices displayed to know what to choose according to my budget.

I'm sure all of you know, by now, how the town of THREE PINES in the Louise Penny novels is actually Knowlton (Lac Brome) and Buzz is the local restaurant equivalent set in those same books. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet on a cool by sunny Saturday morning where we ordered a exceptionally enjoyable breakfast of bacon and eggs. Not sure why, but everything about the meal and locale worked, eggs done just right, amazingly freshly baked croissant (it must have been only minutes old), crispy back and a small slight of brie with jam...it just hit the spot. Plus a ton of outstanding baked goods like Monster Brownies, Date Squares and the like. The menu is posted on the display case, and you order directly to the staff at the front for the meal to be served to you at the table. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the Eastern Townships. Enjoy!

Buzz is beautiful, from its scrumptious pastries to its hand made pizza to its cases laden with so much eye-candy food. The owner, Peter, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and as if we were the only people in the shop. This is a must-visit spot whenever you’re in Knowlton.

I adore this café! Everything is always perfectly prepared, and the attention to detail is unmatched (right down to the fresh berries in the water). The pastries and cookies are to die for, and the owners and staff are kind and welcoming. I have been several times and I will go many more!

They hang an intriguing flag which I tracked down as belonging to a Hungarian military unit. I wonder if the owner has a connection somehow? Excellent service. Blueberries in the tap water!

The food was excellent. The service warm, but not “hovering”. Enjoyable, relaxed meal. Knowleton is a delightful village.
