We were staying across the street and came here for dinner one night - what amazing views of the river right from our seat! The mushroom creme brulee is a MUST try dish - one of my favorite bites the entire vacation. Tiramisu was also excellent.

Very accommodating for English speakers! Note that parking in this area is quite difficult if you're not staying in one of the many B&Bs.

Had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful place for my stay in La Malbaie. The room that were given, gives a very old and rustic vibe. If you are into such a thing, you will love this hotel/inn. The host is very friendly, and provided good restaurants for us in the area, that serve vegetarian. For amenities, the basics are given, which suffice but be warned that the shower is very small for a 6 foot male. Overall very good place and would recommend.

Had dinner at La Marmite. Phenomenal food and attentive service. Not cheap but well worth it.

Auberge La Marmite is, in my opinion, one of the province’s most authentic expressions of Québécois cuisine. The atmosphere is effortlessly charming, with the presentation never straying towards the ostentatious. Felix continues to deliver a menu built around the principles of home-style cooking and seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. This is where La Marmite truly shines: each dish feels like it’s crafted with genuine care, passion, and a clear vision of what honest food should be.

Rooms are small but nice. Minimum amenities in the room: no A/C, no small fridge or coffee machine. The views are beatiful, friendly staff and good breakfast. We didn't try their restaurant but it looked delicious. Overall we liked our stay here!

Husband and I ate at Marmite for date night and we were both absolutely blown away. We ordered the table d’hôte and the food was truly so delicious. Cute spot with chic ambiance and great food.

Absolutely beautiful location, and we were expecting good food when we walked in. We were blown away by how personable and helpful our waitress was, and then even more by the food. Everything was cooked perfectly and was incredibly delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to come back when we travel to this area again.

Unfortunately there was only one last room left and we decided to stay somewhere else, but staying for dinner was one of the best decisions we made on the trip.
The food is as good as the few serious restaurants in MTL.
We ordered a 4-course menu and a St Lawrence fish soup, every little ingredient in the dishes was carefully orchestrated. The pickled “topping” of beef shank is a genius touch, making it a fresh dish. The fish soup is not easy to make but the oriental hint of flavors really shined.
And the sugar pie! Staff proudly said this was probably the best of its kind in Quebec. I personally don’t like sweet stuff, we don’t even have cane sugar in our kitchen but use floral syrup and honey as sweeteners, but this really blew me away. It simply reminds me of all the unhealthy but absolutely delicious desserts that I had over the years in France.
Onion soup cappuccino! Burnt onions is not just decorative, it is what makes a difference on your palate. This is very delicate with just a few ingredients used.
REFRESHING! Would love to come back again to try everything we missed on the menu! If one day there’s a Michelin guide for Quebec and this is not on it, I’d say it’s a shame for the French.
Thank you team for offering us a wonderful evening!
Oh the wine list is very interesting.

The server was attentive and friendly and the restaurant decor is so cute with pillows, plants etc. Highly recommend a visit for dinner.

WoW!!! Restaurant discovered by chance during our brief visit to La Malbaie… it was a real taste discovery!!???
The 4-course menu is a must to taste a little bit of everything.
It’s truly a gastronomic experience!
The service is also excellent and friendly.
The cocktail menu doesn't leave its place either, even the mocktails are out of the ordinary!
