Fabulous!! OMG. This amazing restaurant, run by both the owners, served the best dishes. From the appetizers to the dessert, the scrumptious meal was made with joy and passion for high quality. We had the Tajine and the Coquille St Jacques - our tastebuds were exploding with joy. If you are in the area you need to drop by but make a reservation!!

We had the most wonderful time here on the last night of our honeymoon, it was the highlight of our stay in Charlevoix! Everything was excellent from the fresh bread and starters to the delicious main courses and scrumptious desserts. The owners kindly offered English menus but were so patient and encouraging as we practiced our française. It was an 11/10 experience! We could truly feel their passion for their craft throughout the entire evening and can’t wait to come back someday.

My girlfriend and I may be the luckiest tourists in La Malbaie - we were able to be seated twice at Resto Tandem, both times without reservations. To be able to experience this magnificent restaurant twice in a week was the second best experience of our trip - the views of the Laurentides from the hiking trails are hard to beat.
Others are much better at describing the culinary experience - I’ll just say that each of our main courses dishes, from pork, to beef to seafood were great. And whatever you do, do not skip dessert - the pouding chômeur is a Quebecois experience to be had! Take the ice cream option and add the maple syrup!
I don’t remember much of my school boy French, but the phrase “Joie de vivre“ comes to mind when describing our experience at Resto Tandem.
PS - if you’re staying at the Manor, there is a path that leads from the Manor, past the Casino, down a flight of stairs and follow the street to the restaurant….you’ll be able to burn off a few of the calories on the way back, as there’s a few stairs on the way up!!

Walked to Tandem from the Fairmont for dinner. The food was very good. It has an interesting menu and we really enjoyed both entrees (beef cheek and lamb tangine). The crème brûlée was excellent. The hosts were very attentive and friendly.

What an amazing restaurant, creative atmosphere and diverse menu. The owners are amazing people, you feel at home. We were running late and called to ask if they could hold the table for us and they did! So kind knowing there was a lot of people hoping to get a table. Cannot wait to go back. Amazing spot you must try if in the area! Super warm welcoming from the owners, very intimate dining experience. The food was exceptional, some of the best meals we’ve ever had, you can tell they were made with love and attention to detail. The beef cheek was the best one we’ve had to date! The pudding chaumeur and the pain d’epices with ice cream for dessert were DELICIOUS. My negroni was also great. HIGHLY recommend, I would return in a heartbeat :)

We called for reservations earlier in the day but couldn’t get through to the restaurant, so we decided we would see if they had any last minute tables or to see if we could make a reservation for another night, in person. When we walked in a man came out from the back and greeted us. For one reason or another he flipped and rudely yelled at us in front of the entire restaurant that they were full and didn’t we see that on the sign outside. We didn’t even try to ask him about making a reservation for another night. We weren’t impressed by this man’s childish behavior and left. So many other fabulous places in this world for a great meal and a good experience…

As i do every year; I drove 600km with the sole purpose of having seafood. I do this every summer, never go to the same places. Arrived in La Malbaie, set up my stuff at hotel and immidiatly went on google to choose where i would eat. I am SO happy i chose resto Tandem. The greeting was amazing, the place was so cute and also amazingly clean! Lots of love poured into this place. But the best part: the food!! 😍😍 Everything was SO good. My SO and I shared an entre of swiss fondue which had an amazing taste due to spices which I could not pinpoint for the life of me. My SO then had a delicious coquille Saint-Jacques. As gor me, as i do every year; i had the chowder.. It was THE best one i had in my life by far! The seafood was fresh and exactly what i hoped for. The pudding chômeur was also a delicious treat that rounded off our night perfectly. All in all, this place did not disapoint! 5⭐️ for everything. I usually always try new places but I will surely be coming back here. The drive was definitly worth it. Huge thanks to Benoit and Stephan, you guys are amazing.

From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the delightful personalities of Benoit and Stephan. Their hospitality set the stage for what turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we've had in years.
Every dish was a masterclass in balance and flavor, with perfect seasoning and thoughtful presentation. Each bite told a story of passion and dedication, which is all the more impressive knowing it's just the two of them behind the magic. If you're ever in the area, Resto Tandem is a must-visit gem that we can't recommend highly enough!
