We go to Mikes once every 10 years when we're in a bad situation. Zero improvement, food still tasteless and overpriced for the quality. In addition to an extremely slow wait time while the restaurant was empty, having to ask repeatedly just to get water.Anyway, we'll see each other again in 10 years Mikes.

Well, Mikes is Mike’s, we weren’t expecting haute cuisine. However, the value for money is very good! The restaurant is super clean, the staff is lovely and fast. So, yes, if you are feeling peckish, I recommend this place.Vegetarian options: Thin crust pizza, not bad at all!Perfect for lunch.

Phew quite disastrous experience the poached eggs are clearly cooked in advance. They were completely dry on the outside and either overcooked or undercooked on the inside (normally they were probably in a stove before using them for our peasant)... The 2 peasants that we ate the bacon were not cooked for at least half of my meat and the potatoes were white, it lacked cooking too... Incredible to serve this to customers. There are plenty of other restaurants for lunch in La Malbaie, much better than this one...

We dropped by during a lunch break on an Intercar bus ride. Intercar seem to have an arrangement with Mikes for a special menu for the travelers to fit exactly in the time of the 45-minute stop, which is in itself a fantastic idea. But what is more the staff were very nice and cheerful and the food was great! Served in close to no time, the soup of the day was veggie and it was a proper chunky vegetable soup like you rarely see these days even in expensive restaurants, full of celery, carrot, green peas and red beans and other veggies. It came with a small fresh warm bread roll and butter and the table was equipped with plenty of extras like peanut butter and jam. The sous-marine (the sub sandwich) was also full of fresh veggies, some good meat and fried onions. It was accompanied by plentiful fries. What’s also important, the bathroom was clean and had everything necessary. We were very happy with our bus lunch break! Highly recommended either as a stop in your travels or simply to have a good meal.Vegetarian options: The vegetable soup with good proper big chunks of veggies and small shell pasta was hot and delicious, and came with a little fresh warm bread roll.
