We’ve been to Restaurant Olive in Lachute several times, and each visit has been wonderful. Our last time was for a birthday celebration, and everything was perfect—the service, the food, and the atmosphere. The restaurant offers a spacious terrace, a warm and elegant main dining room, and a separate hall for private gatherings or celebrations. Plus, having a large parking lot makes the experience even more convenient.
Lachute itself feels like a peaceful vacation town, and Restaurant Olive truly reflects that charm. With delicious dishes, friendly service, and a welcoming ambiance, every visit feels special.

Great homestyle cooking, and a perfect spot for our breakfasts and lunches to fuel my team and I for our film shoot in Lachute! Nancy is especially kind! Looking forward to returning again soon! :)
Went twice for lunch and another time for breakfast and got served drinks but they didn't come back to take our order. After 30 minutes and seeing other people who came in after us having their order taken we left.

We have already come to Olive's several times, the lunches were nice with friendly waitresses. We also had the experience of dinner, and that was already a less pleasant experience than lunch, but not as much as last night. Last night we arrived and no welcome. even, a waitress passes us but does not speak to us or welcome us. Not even a good evening. Finally she comes back several minutes later and seats us. We then had a parade of 5 more waitresses, all waiting for each course. Orders arrived not only late but never together for the table. The cocktail, water and soup arrived partly outside their containers. Dishes ordered: we know that we are not in a fine dining restaurant but given the experience of the lunch and dinner that we had already had, we expected at least the same thing and the same quality Another disappointment here. Chicken and fries tasted like fish, probably made with my husband's fish and chips...my son had a salad that didn't exude that much freshness and my husband can't give good points on his either. dish probably frozen and overcooked and for its soup, the pepper must have fallen in. In short, the service was rude for some waitresses, indifferent for others... On the other hand, speed was required at the end to give us the sum. We were generous despite everything but we are more than disappointed and we will no longer return to Olive. 3 customers lost! It's not because it's family-run that we have to be familiar with the customers and serve like at home! Although I do better at home. And I have already practiced this profession, so I know the conditions, and nothing justifies this type of experience. And paying $130 for all that, so excessive!
