The food/service may be fine, but I was very disappointed to see staff taking their cigarette breaks right beside the outdoor play area of a daycare next door. As a business, there should be more consideration for children’s health. It’s unpleasant and inappropriate to expose kids and even the teachers to secondhand smoke.

I hope management takes this seriously and designates a proper smoking area away from neighboring daycare play area. This reflects the business to me and will no longer supporting this place .

Really good price for lunch. Took the udon soup and it came with mix tempura and 5 piece sushi. One of the nigiri, the fish was a bit tough but otherwise really good value for the price.

This is a true hidden gem 💎 in this part of Montreal. This mall used to have a Woolco and Kmart ages ago. Now times have changed and this restaurant is a great addition. It is a mom and pop local business owned by hardworking people.

The food is expertly crafted and it tasted fresh and ultra delicious. I tried several dishes along with the sushi & maki and they were all excellent 👍. I just find that the food came out just a bit slow. But the service is good and friendly. They get 5 stars ✨

Happy eats everyone 😎

I think this is truly a hidden gem in Lasalle, the portions are generous and the quality of it is amazing and completely worth the price. We are big fans of their hot dishes especially.

Our favourite dish was the grilled calamari, so soft and and tasty.
The unadon (unagi and rice) was big and flavourful.
Not many restaurants offer soba and bistro isakaya’s soba is just this cozy comforting dish when you want a simple hot meal.
And also their karaage is so worth the price you pay.

There’s a lot of thought out behind each hot dish, really respect to the Japanese family running the bistro

An excellent Japanese restaurant with a great variety of dishes. We tried a lot of the menu, and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly, the kitchen appears very clean, and the restaurant is stylishly decorated. Considering the portion sizes, the quality and the taste of the food, the prices are quite reasonable. Truly a great experience – highly recommended without any reservation.

I have been a fan of Isakaya since their Parc Avenue location and never disappointed. Whenever I crave for some modest yet delicious authentic sushi, I know my craving will be well satisfied with some fresh sushi from Isakaya. Great quality-price and the perfectly seasoned rice is a much with my fresh fish.

Call ahead for takeout as they get busy quickly and it could take over an hour sometimes! Family owned business by very nice people

I have been supporting this restaurant for the last 5+years, especially during covid. I usually order take out and love the food. Today, Valentine's day, I feel like going to the restaurant to eat there. I called to reserve knowing quite well that the chance of having a table was almost none. Dialed a few times and finally someone answered, I asked if it was possible to reserve a table. A person who had a female voice (never know this days), gave a very rude NO as a response. I was shocked and paused for 2 seconds to think "what was that?!". I could not imagine anyone could answer a customer in such a abrupt, dismissive way. I have totally lost respect to this place.

I go to this restaurant several times a year when I am craving good quality sushi. Their marinated squid is amazing. Everything is always fresh and the service is good. It is the best sushi restaurants I've been to in Montreal, a real LaSalle gem.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was very happy with my meal. Had the Pork Ramen and some Sushi and it really hit the spot. It was really cold out today and the Ramen was absolutely delicious and warmed me right up. The broth was rich and the pork had just the right amount of fat.

The sushi was lightly fried in tempura and tasted great

Quick and friendly service

Will go back for sure
