Restaurant La Belle Province L'Authentique (Bellepros Newman - Lasalle)

I tried this place again after giving it a break. I did not contact anyone there beforehand, I simply asked them to make a good poutine and they did a pretty good job! The fries were much better and they put the sauce on the side as I requested in a perfect quantity.

The only issue I'd say is I definitely ordered when the folks who go light on the cheese curds were there. It wasn't too bad, but you run out of cheese about 2/3rds of the way through whereas previously ordering the same thing I'd have plenty of cheese, sometimes even a bit leftover at the end. If they find a happy middle-ground then that'd be perfect. Hopefully they keep up the good work and my next order will be even better!

La fluer has been defeated!!!
20 years and now I notice which one is better. Not a fan of hot dogs on my poutine but that was a kids choice but mine was great. Fries tasted fresh not frozen and the cheese still had that sqeek sqeek to it while eating it! The manager was great and kind to us as well.

Saturday August 2, 2025, staff was not wearing gloves. I ordered a club sandwich and saw the guy preparing it with his bare hands. Really not impressed.

Incredible customer service!

Wow. Never have I ever. Obviously, under new ownership. The staff literally touched every single piece of food with their hands down to the cheese curds. They picked up the fries with their hands, put them in the container, and pushed them down. Then, they picked up a handful of cheese curds and put them on the fries, and pushed those down with their hands. I'm surprised they didn't mix my orange crush with their bare hands. Food handling safety is out the window here! New staff is very hands on 😂 also pricing has increased exponentially. $20 for a hotdog trio, we're not in Kansas anymore, Dorthy.

After losing so many locations of Belle Province in the past couple of years, and not bring able to have a good authentic poutine in over a year we were thrilled with our family classic poutine. It's was delicious, and perfect. Extremely generous portion lots of cheese curds gravy and the fries were perfect. It was well worth it.

This is my favorite Belle Province location. Nice retro decor, friendly competent staff and a varied menu make this my go-to place for late night snacks.
