Amazing little cafe with beautiful atmosphere! We tried their pastries, coffee and sandwiches. Croissants were buttery and flaky, so delicious! Coffee was good quality too. They have organic flour bags to sell and price was fare. Love this cafe spot!

Un service impeccable, même si plusieurs personnes entrent en même temps, aucune panique et le sourire est toujours présent. Tout est très bon, salades, sandwich, café, limonade maison, et les croissants aux amandes 😋 Vue sur le fleuve 😉

Pretty cute bakery. There’s a lot of things for sale in the bakery. Lots of different breads to eat, and pastries to try. Also has sandwiches and other jarred jams.

The service there is nice as well and it was pretty fast. It overall has a nice atmosphere. Tried the croissant and the canelle. They both tasted pretty good. The croissant was nice and flaky and soft, and the canelle had a good texture.

Omg this place is a hidden gem in the area! Absolutely loved the French onion soup inspired sandwich and the hospitality. We also got a free maple croissant since it was our first time visiting, the owner was so kind and friendly.. the cafe is in his grandparents home where he’d visit as a child..

Small bakery and café very well integrated into the village of Des Cèdres near the quay and the river shuttle allowing you to cross the river. Bread or pastries can be ordered in advance. They also have a variety of quality products, sandwiches and cold meats. In summer, cyclists take full advantage of the place.

We have often passed this café/bakery and often thought about a visit. This time, it was lunchtime, so we stopped. What a friendly place! It's just like visiting a favourite aunt for tea and biscuits.
The parking is ample, with a nice grassy garden space. There is a small terrace with shade on the gallery of the owners' renovated family house.
The entrance is from the side and the counter displays an amazingly wide menu of options; in the corner is a freezer with supplies to take home, croissants to bake, soup, sauces, bread dough and similar items.
We ordered a chicken/bacon wrap, spinach-cheese pastry, apple turnover and coffee. All were absolutely delicious.
We ate upstairs, a cozy area rearranged into a large room with tables and a washroom.

I used to work in a museum and historical details interest me. I noticed the wide uneven floorboards, the mansard shape of the roof, the gable windows with some of the original hardware, the kitchen wing off the back, the re-purposed ceiling boards upstairs, and the general layout. I began speculating as to its age (1870?) and the original layout inside (the stairs had been moved, some bedroom walls upstairs removed, insulation and ventilation installed) and guessing where the original stovepipe had been.
As we left, I admired the images on the stair wall showing the house transformation; what a magnificent job! I visited their artistic informative website and found I had guessed the age of the house accurately. It would be nice if the photos of the renovation stayed on-screen long enough to study closely.
Very few whole-house renovations manage to keep the features that define the spirit of the house while re-purposing the vocation of the house without losing something in the translation. Whoever planned this treasure of family reminiscences really knows his/her stuff; the result is phenomenal.

And the food is fabulous! We will be back.

Parking: Lots of parking and a small garden in which to wander.

Wheelchair accessibility: I'm partially mobility challenged. I did cope with the outdoor steps (about 3, with a sturdy rail) and we sat upstairs ( a full vintage staircase, with a sturdy rail.) I didn't look for a ramp. but there may be one.

Very attentive staff! I had to wait for the famous pistachio nuts to come out of the oven and the owner came to bring me a coffee and a small croissant to keep me waiting. It is with gestures like this that he makes his service unique and impeccable!

They make my favorite almondines. The croissant dough is flaky and very crispy. The filling in the center tastes more like vanilla (very light almond taste, which I like unlike other pastries). With the almond pieces on top for crunch!! They are perfect ?
