Poissonnerie Les Escoumins

I was really looking forward to eating here, and we drove out of our way just to have a meal at Poissonnerie. Unfortunately, it wasn't what he expected. The seafood was similar to what you would get at a Red Lobster chain. I had hoped it would be more fresh. The prices were high too. My son (10 years old) got some crab legs, soggy baby shrimp and french fries for $70! The restaurant looked more like a community centre. I had hoped to purchase some items from their store, but the store closed when the dinner service began. Poor timing. If you are local or nearby, this is a good option, but don't go out of your way for a meal here.

We had a deeply upsetting experience at this restaurant today my family and I ,When we arrived, the man managing the seating told us there were no tables available without a reservation. Moments later, I witnessed him offering a table to other guests—who also had no reservation. The inconsistency was striking. I couldn’t help but wonder: was I treated differently because ?????? This experience left me feeling excluded and discriminated against. I’m sharing this so other tourists are aware of the bias I encountered

Huge serving of fresh Halibut. Get the seafood salad and skip the caesar garden salads. So delicious! Server was lovely. She did a great job of managing to communicate in English with us.

Way too expensive for what you get. My lobster roll was 80% salad and 20% actual lobster....would not recommend this place....

Delicious surf and turf – a memorable dining experience at Poissonnerie les Escoumins!
We visited recently and were seriously impressed. We ordered the steak and lobster, and both were cooked to perfection. The lobster was incredibly fresh, tender, and buttery—full of flavor without being overly rich. The steak was juicy, perfectly seared, and seasoned just right.
The presentation was elegant, and the portion sizes were great. Everything felt well-balanced, from the sides to the sauces. It’s rare to find a place that does both seafood and steak this well.
The service was friendly and professional—our server checked in just enough without interrupting the flow of our meal.
Overall, an excellent experience. We’ll definitely be back!

J’ai toujours aimé mangé chez vous. Malheureusement la pizza croûte mince pour la pizza fruits de mer c’est vraiment dommage. Merci de ramener la croûte traditionnelle. Merci au plaisir de se revoir.

Not to be missed in Les Escoumins. We got the seafood platter this time and it was delicious. Lobster was heavenly. Seafood chowder and seafood poutine also highly recommended. Have tried various menu items and have never been disappointed. Beautiful location in the bay of Escoumins with big windows. Fast service, nice hosts. I eat here each time I’m in Escoumins!!
