This restaurant was recommended by our friend and I was very excited to visit it while I was in Quebec. Unfortunately the service was sub par, the servers hardly paid attention to our table. The wine was just poured right away without giving us a chance to taste it first, which is usually fine, but other tables got that type of service. Our table was also the only one that wasn't offered any parmesan cheese, fresh pepper, etc. The food itself was good, however it had WAY too much butter/oil that separated and everything was just swimming in it. The sauce in the seafood pasta (I chose the cream sauce) was completely separated when it arrived. There was about 3 tablespoons worth of melted butter at the bottom of the plate. The dorado/walleye fish with the pasta was good but also had way too much butter added to it, with about 2 tablespoons worth melted at the bottom. Not sure why our table got a noticeably different type of service

We waited over 1.5 hours for food with no warning, and the manager said that was “normal” — no accountability. The place didn’t feel welcoming to Asian customers, and the service overall was slow. The only good part was our server, who genuinely tried to help. Won’t be coming back.

If visiting from outside the city I would recommend to
Stay away from this place. Extremely bad service, and I have been in the industry for a long time.
My family and I came in, we were seated by someone in normal civilian clothes (which might have probably been the manager or owner), not a smile, no welcoming words just “follow me”. They served us tap water and gave us the menu and then completely forgot about us for around 10 min, no one to approach us, to ask us if we were ready to order, offer us drinks, etc. Perceiving that we were not wanted there, we then just stood up and walked out, I told the server that I could not wait any longer for someone to take our order and he just said, “well I am ready now” , no apology, no sympathy whatsoever.
The assumed manager was very close by and did not say a word, no interference, no service oriented people. Our perception was that they really did not want us there.
We were visiting the area as tourists and we do speak French, but with an accent but we really felt that we were not wanted there. So, if you are passing by and are not from there just avoid yourself à bad experience and stay away.

We booked here, while on a trip to Levis and we we’re amazed at how we felt like we had a 5 star experience. Amazing staff that was present and made us feel welcomed. Our food was top notch and from the entrees to the desserts, everything was delicious.

Matto is located in a suburban condo neighbourhood, and was a very nice find. We shared a salad and a pizza, and both were very good. Be aware that the pizzas are a little large for an individual portion, but they happily supplied a take way box.

Went twice this week. The first day the waitress was professional and friendly but the second day the waitress couldn’t care less about us. She didn’t even pour the wine into our glasses. The portion are a little small. It was the smallest burrata i ever had. Same for the pasta. A few scoops and everything was gone.

This was my first time experiencing something like this at a restaurant.
The server didn’t greet us, only poured water, and when I ordered wine, he didn’t even show it to me before serving.
He(Blonde hair)was incredibly rude.

After driving for over 10 hours, I just wanted a relaxing dinner, but honestly, fast food would have been a better choice.
It’s the kind of place where you need to dress well and put on makeup to get good service, so make sure you’re dressed nicely when you go.

The vongole pasta even had grit in the clams. While I can understand that might happen, everything about the experience just ruined my appetite, and I’m leaving feeling disappointed.

It's very sad that the quality of the food as come down, the signature dish pappardelle with wild mushrooms was horrible very oily and the mushrooms were not well cooked.

The service here was amazing, the waitress was on top of everything and always coming back and ensuring everything was to our standard. It’s a quaint place and comfortable seating. They had a few vegan options and quite a few vegetarian options. No dessert options for vegans though, and no alternative milk either. It doesn’t get a 5 star as it didn’t feel as authentic Italian but it was very good.

Vegetarian options: They had quite a few vegetarian options from eggplant parmigiana , to mushroom pasta or pizza. Great place for vegetarians to come.

Everything was absolutely perfect, the Lévis restaurant is magnificent. Our dishes were delicious and our waitress was attentive. A restaurant that we will repeat with great pleasure.
