Very cute place, the employees were so friendly and helpful- it appeared the only vegan croissant was also gluten free, and it was quite gummy, but the outside layers were good. The vegan lemon cake was really good!

During my last visit to Longueuil, I had the pleasure of discovering "Au Café Gourmand", a pastry shop offering vegan and/or gluten-free options that fully deserves its reputation. As soon as I entered, the warm atmosphere and welcoming decor immediately put me at ease.
The choice of pastries is impressive, and what particularly struck me was the presence of French specialties. Among my favorites, Paris Brest, éclairs, as well as a fruit tartlet which recalled the authentic flavors of French bakeries, but with an ethical and innovative touch.
I also tried their chocolate brownie, which definitely rivals the best traditional recipes. Each creation seems thought out down to the smallest detail, from texture to presentation, with flavors perfectly balanced and never too sweet.
The staff is charming, always ready to explain the composition of the products or to advise according to desires and dietary restrictions. It’s a real pleasure to chat with enthusiasts.
In addition to desserts, “Au Café Gourmand” offers excellent coffee, completing an unforgettable experience.

It is such an amazing place, warm, friendly, Cyril makes every client feel good and welcome! And the chef, Anabelle, is incredible, she makes the best croissants with maple syrup, the best cookies and super delicious deserts, and her gluten free cakes are so tasty, anyone can find a desert at his/her taste Au Cafe Gourmand! This is a first visit to this café, for a 'latte' and a maple croissant. Everything was perfect, both the croissant and the very courteous service. There is a varied display of cake and croissants. There are also cold cuts which seem very sought after considering the comings and goings and the smiles of the customers. A must-have.
