I go to this restaurant regularly during the week. During the week the service is great and the food is hot and tasty. Today, Sunday. . . This is a place to avoid. We arrived at 11:50 a.m. We got a table immediately. The waitress came to see us 20 minutes later, we didn't even have the menus. We gave our order at 12:15 and at 12:50 we received our orders. It was very very long and slow and especially frustrating because the 3 tables around us were served before us and they all arrived after us. The waitress gave us the excuse that they all mentioned being in a hurry. We waited like crazy! Our orders were cold as soon as they arrived. One of our orders arrived with bagels instead of the English muffins provided on the menu and the waitress had not even informed us in advance of the change. For my part I had French toast cooked on top and completely raw on the other side. The small bowl of compote was fishy and contained an unidentified orange drop. I didn't get my toast, well I got them even though my plate was empty. . . . I showed my raw French toast to the waitress, which was not crispy contrary to the name of my dish on the menu. The waitress told me she would replace it for me. Everyone had finished at my table when my French toast arrived (10-15 minutes later). . . No fruit, no chocolate and even no syrup offered by the waitress. . . The poor French toast was sad compared to the picture on the menu. It was an experience to forget. . . . In total, we were there from 11:50 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., it was a very very very long brunch, unsatisfactory and very frustrating.

My experience was a complete failure. The portions were very small, I ordered eggs benedict: the plate was pitiful because it looked so cheap... the food was cold, the coffee cold, the service slow... Very very disappointed and no chance of returning to this place.

We went to lunch today, June 24. There weren't many customers in the restaurant, but was filled with waitresses. Our waitress was Melanie and unfortunately the service was poor. It took a good 25/30 minutes before we got our food, she got the bill wrong 3 times, no smile, no politeness towards her customers and at the end, she threw me my bill. Clearly if I come back to this Ben and Florentine, I will make sure not to have this waitress!!

The dishes me & my wife we had were unbalanced - too dry, had to have some vegetables or fruits/berries. My 3 meat waffle had too much waffle in it ? hard to cut and chew, too dry as well, better put more meat and make the waffle half as thick. My wife had a cocktail with vodka and coffee ans she didn’t enjoy it cause it had too much vodka in it . Hot chocolate was nice but nothing special. The lunch on photo + $10 cocktail cost us $55 + tips. Can’t say it’s cheap. Also no one offered us coffee so we’re unsure is it free or not.
