Vérifiez les dates de péremption ! J’ai acheté du café qui s’est avéré être périmé depuis 6 mois. Quand je suis retournée pour procéder à un échange, le lendemain, j’ai constaté que plusieurs sacs de café étaient également périmés. Je trouve l’approche malhonnête d’autant plus c’est un lieu de passage pour les touristes, qui ne reviendront pas pour échanger leur produit. Donc pour ma part, même si les bagels sont bons, je passerai mon chemin, la prochaine fois

If you pass through Magog, you have to stop and look for Bagels... cooked on site in a wood oven, they are delicious and often hot when they are sold to you.

Sorry to say but I was a long time customer of this café when it opened but in the last few years they changed owners and ever since the new owners took over the bagels don't taste the same - the bagels are not cooked especially the inside - the dough tastes slightly raw and after a few hours they become dry and hard -- When they first opened they had said that their recipe came very close to St Viateur and Fairmount bagels and it was true but now after new management took over, a very big difference -

On our way to Mont Orford, I couldn’t resist stopping at (Fabrique de Bagel café noir) for breakfast—there’s no forgetting the taste from our first visit to Magog. I adore this place for its variety of fresh bakery & local items (jams, érable, pie etc..)

We ordered a bagel with salmon and cream cheese, a poppy bagel with cheese, and hot chocolate. Naturally, I also bought a dozen of their freshly baked mixed bagels & 1/2 dozen of blueberry bagel. The blueberry bagels are still my favorite, and I was pleasantly surprised by the ‘bagel aux érables”—it was my first time trying it, and it’s perfect for those who enjoy a sweeter taste.

The 2 olives fougasse is as delicious as ever, and the cheesy bread is simply succulent.

P.S. Apologies for the bagel that’s already been eaten in the photos—we couldn’t resist the smell before taking the shots!

Parking: There’s free street parking available, but it’s often full. Luckily, there’s another parking lot directly across the street from the store—you just have to cross the road.

The first time we tried their bagels they had said that their recipe was very close to the typical traditional bagel and they were excellent, but ever since new management bought the location their bagels have changed. They taste less cooked - I mentioned it to their owner and he replied that his customers request the bagels that way.
