The pain de mie is so good we make a trip from Boston for it!

One of the absolute joys of living near the U.S.-Canada border is the quick drive to L'Atelier du Pain—a place that feels more like a beloved ritual than just a bakery visit. Part artisan bakery, part gourmet shop, it’s the kind of spot that turns a simple errand into an experience.

In the three years since moving here, we’ve lost count of how many times we’ve stopped by, and it’s always at the top of our list when showing visiting friends around. The staff? Absolutely wonderful—warm, knowledgeable, and always ready with a recommendation. The food? Impeccable from top to bottom, whether it’s their fresh-baked breads, pastries, or the incredible selection of prepared items that make for effortless gourmet meals.

If you’re anywhere near the area, don’t miss it. Whether you’re grabbing a flaky croissant, a hearty loaf, or something special for dinner, L'Atelier du Pain is a place that makes every visit feel like a treat.

Absolutely fantastic pastries and market. We happened on it on our way to Quebec City. Too bad we don’t have stores L’atelier du Pain this in the States.

One word review would be « wow ». The quality of the foods, the charcuterie, the cheese, the prepared foods is above par. This is a true jewel in the region.
