Good food lacking a little more on the plates for the price... But very good. The service was cold and long yet the restaurant is not big... I know I'm in the profession myself... We waited 20 minutes for our bill and another 25 minutes to pay it. The glasses were dusty... A little disappointed in the quality/price ratio.

During our stay in Magog, we went out for a late dinner with my husband. It was already cool, but we ate on the back patio. There was a patio heater. It was very nice!
The food was super good, and the ambiance and service were also excellent.
The salad had pickled elements, which was sour and went perfectly with the fried cheese. I was surprised by the cold soup too.
The lamb was tender and served with vegetables. The potatoes were like a sort of mille-feuille. It was very good too.
Great experience overall!

When it was time to pay, several banknotes slipped out of my hands without me realizing it. I was called back and put aside the amount in question. Impeccable honesty.
I have always eaten very well at Taverne 1855 (and even better at the "Plaisir Gourmand de Hatley before). The quality of food by chef Garand and his assistants is always excellent and the service from Jinny and his team is always impeccable. No hesitation in recommending these experienced catering professionals. NO HESITATION.

Dans l'ensemble ce fut une belle expérience. Le cadre est sympa bien que l'on nous ait mis sur la terrasse extérieur. Nous avons apprécié le service très convivial et chaleureux. Le jarret d'agneau était particulièrement goûteux, portion raisonnable.
