I have been in the North for four days now. I have to admit that the food is getting a little repetitive: poutine, burgers, spaghetti, fish and chips. With that in mind, I really appreciated the rib special at Resto Pub la Boreal. They were flavorful and tender. Plus, for a tourist like me this has been a great place to pick up on the vibe here in Matagami. Would return for sure.
The tiny lamb burgers were very tasty and I appreciated the fresh chips. The presentation was spot on, I only wished for a garlic aioli dip and a selection of hot sauces. Perhaps they could look into Quebec artisan distributors like La Pimenterie to sell bottles ?
A lot of noise. Good plate but without sauce, very dry.
Water which is the same price as a soda ?
Otherwise good service.
