This is a great snack discovery passing by the 117.

Unlike all the local snack bars, this one does not close at 7:00 p.m.

Since 1967, La Chaumière has offered a diverse menu to local and passing customers.

Fast and courteous service, the restaurant is very beautiful and very clean, large indoor dining room and large outdoor terrace for both the fast food and the dairy bar.

We rated the restaurant with a cheeseburger, onion ring and a smoked meat poutine. The 3 items ordered were homemade, tasty, well cooked, tasty and the portions are normal (ie no refills here).

In the end, we highly recommend La Chaumière, an institution in Mont-Laurier and we understand why. We will come back to this.

Les meilleures frites de Mont-Laurier et le meilleur smoke meat que j'ai mangé. La poutine est faite avec une délicieuse sauce au poivre et BEAUCOUP de fromage en grains. On peut, aussi, y déguster ce qu'ils appellent une "raquette". Pour ceux qui connaissent ou ont déjà mangé une "queue de castor", c'est son équivalent. Il y a une crèmerie qui est annexée au bâtiment.

Hands down best food I've had in a while.. the fries, hot chicken, onion rings, club sandwich, gyro, and poutine, as well as our server.. perfection.

Wow, the poutine is really excellent...
The dish is full as you wish, unlike the Gérard Patate... I highly recommend it, for me it will be an obligatory stop every time I go to Mont-Laurier.
