Shack Attakk Mont-Saint-Hilaire

One of my favorite burger shacks. Expansive menu of burgers, hot dogs and poutine. Everything is great - ingredients are fresh and sandwiches are tasty. Restaurant has a funky California surf theme.

Good burgers

Burger was WAY overcooked for both of us. Hockey puck that wasn’t very enjoyable. Never had anything like that at a burger place. Just make sure to tell them you don’t want that.

Reduced quality of ingredients. The burgers are no longer legendary (they were by far the best in the past) and the poutine is not as good as before. I'm a little disappointed. Why change a perfect recipe?

Wow. Truly incredible restaurant. The atmosphere is very original and gives the taste of going on vacation! Excellent food, my favorite meal the montauk poutine and the ramp. I highly recommend, especially to families because it is an experience in itself.

The brie and onion burger was good, but the poutine, made with frozen fries... For me it's a big no! Paying $42 for a burger, poutine and 2 soft drinks is too much to pay.

We loved our meal! The prices quickly rise to $38 for 2 burgers and a large poutine, but it was delicious!

Description: a small restaurant with everything handmade and healthy. Their specialty are burgers and milk drinks.

Good:
- the quality of the food is superb and good
-the staff is GREAT, kind, love their work and very welcoming
-homemade mayo 10/10.
-the price for what you ate is good
-the quantity and size of food is very large

Negative:
-their specialty is burgers, yet their best homemade burger was not SUPER. A LITTLE outdated but not at all bad
-the restaurant is a bit tight
-the meat of the burger (the most important part) is small. As thick as in fast food (but wider).

Conclusion: not the best burger restaurant but the rest is perfect.
(Update once I try a poutine)

Can't drive my vehicle because I went over .08 Saturday night. The next day I arrived to collect my car but the owner had the good idea to have my car towed to St-Amable as well. But what a cellar. Then we wonder why people take their car when they have consumed alcohol.

Really worse than before. Burger balls are simple patties with the taste and texture of A&W. OUACH! Extra dry bacon in a wet bun burger and the puck tasted like oil. We didn't eat more than 50% of our lunch. We had 2 spicy burgers, 2 Jones sodas and an onion ring. It was a restaurant on my bucket list when I was in the area. Now I'm going to move on. Very sad.

The poutine was better before... it has deteriorated recently... too bad it's no longer worth the detour... The view is magnificent. The menu is varied, plenty of choice for everyone...

Great burgers that make our little and big family happy! Plus, being on a gluten-free diet, we have always eaten there without any worry of having a reaction or feeling bloated. Excellent service by the way, with a smile :)

After hours of hiking at Mont St-Hilaire, Shack Attakk was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a well-deserved dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and the flavors were spot on. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great meal after a day of hiking! Will definitely be coming back.
