The concept of this restaurant is absolutely brilliant. You can choose to check out, order at the counter and eat at a table or go to the dining room and get served. In addition, everything I have ordered since I lived in Montmagny has been absolutely excellent! Whether for dinner, dinner or lunch. They don't serve fine cuisine, but for a family restaurant, it's excellent and totally sufficient.

This morning, I was disappointed when paying my bill because I didn't leave a drink tip. The waitress was upset and asked me if I forgot it and I said I didn't, so she came back to tell me that she has to declare it if I don't leave a tip because of Usually customers have to leave a tip...and put me in an uncomfortable situation where I have to justify why I didn't leave a minimum tip of 5 Dollars. **It is mandatory to leave a tip but it is not an obligation or a habit. We pay our bill and our taxes after consumption but there is no reason to pay if the service or the quality of what was presented to us did not impress us!** Tipping is an automatic gesture that comes from within if our expectations were met but if not, why force us to do it. There was not even a smile, nor any chivalry that I felt from the person who served us..
Frankly, the service was basic, the filter coffee that I drank was diluted, and there were two of us who ordered two healthy plates with the coffee, which does not require as much preparation (cooking) apart from the egg and It still took time.
**I added a star for the service, to the girl who escorted us to our table, because she took the trouble to move us near the window, after my request and seeing that the restaurant was not full .
