I haven't found a bar like this in about 30 years. It's like a corner pub with your regulars and nice little barmaids and really really amazing music,old school 70s & 80s rock and roll. All they're missing is a dart board because they have the pool table and the clientele, very friendly locals. Everybody's got a story with a smile. It's a place I would love to live right around the corner from. Must be nice on cool winter nights to go warm up and socialize with your buddies. There's no bars around the area I live and it's unfortunate because they've all died off and it's nice to see that one has been resuscitated by the owner....wonderful and beautifully Stellar Mimi. She's brought back to life what we've been missing. In the three evenings I was in Morin Heights I had to pass by. It just felt like it was the right place to go and be and it was so warm and comforting. Hence the name😉 For the first time in a long time I hadn't seen anybody staring at their phones I actually saw a human interaction on a communicative level. Some guys were shooting pool, a couple of men after work were having a nice cold beer, a young dude was flirting with the sparkling barmaid and myself, tapping my feet to the music, and sharing a smile with Mimi at the corner of the bar ON MY BIRTHDAY🥳 I've missed it and enjoyed every minute. We are a group of friends who want to play pool. It's a bit sad, but we're going to go somewhere else from now on.The "house rule" seems to be: "You play against the winners, you can't play a game with your friends." It's more of a solo bar.This is the 2nd out of 3 times that the same person/small group of friends have monopolized the table, responding super stupid and uncooperative when we ask if we could play a game with friends (alternating, like in most others billiard bars). In short, it just makes you want to leave!Even if it's the house rule... It's quite a shame that 2-3 regulars have a monopoly on the table at all times. In terms of marketing, profit and reputation, it is poorly thought out.
