listen.. Iâm not going to leave reviews, but itâs about time that someone addresses this. I walked into Galo today, a restaurant that I go to frequently being a TMR resident, and was very thrown off When I was spoken to extremely rudely for simply saying âi dont speak french would you mind speaking in englishâ. Iâm not one to complain about this sort of thing as I get it that we live in a French province, however, TMR is a predominantly English neighborhood, and shouldnât have to feel like an outsider for not being able to speak a language. given that youâre a 60-year-old woman (brunette) You should know better than to make people feel stupid for not speaking a language

Last night is the first time when I and my neighbor dined at Galo and we were very impressed by the delicious food and friendly service. The lady who served us is extremely friendly. efficient and helpful and she recommended excellent dishes for both of us!! Thumb up!!!

Excellent food. Seasoned perfectly to my liking (I had salmon and shrimps with fries) food was so good, my son ate half of it. (Heâs almost 2) on our table we also had the chicken, chorizo, lamb and grilled calamari. Everything was served at the same time! Everything smelled and tasted fantastic!!! I mean seriously, I would have had seconds just because!

I called 10min before asked if terrace seating availability. And told them we were in construction cloths. They not only accepted us with welcome feeling but sat us down on the terrace. Food was unbelievably delicious. The chicken, the shrimp. Dessert. still makes my mouth water thinking about it. Great experience. In and out perfect for lunch. Thank you to are waiter Louis

We came in with friends who had been here before and recommended it. We asked very politely if there were English menus â and were met with immediate irritation from the owner at the cash. No welcome, no courtesy, just a sour attitude.
We then waited over 45 minutes for our food, while multiple tables who arrived after us were served first. When we kindly asked why the delay, the owner got furious and told us we could leave â because he âhas two doorsâ we can use. He claimed we werenât real customers because he didnât recognize us. Our friends had been there several times, and even they were stunned.
We eat out often and have never been treated so rudely. We ended up leaving before even getting our meals.
Unless you're a regular or enjoy being disrespected, Iâd strongly recommend skipping Galo. There are far better restaurants that actually care about their customers.
