The restaurant owner is attentive to the customer’s needs. Excellent customer service.
I’ve had the privilege of enjoying Chef Masud Siddique’s incredible cooking since 1986 when we first met as Red Cross Youth Volunteers in Dhaka! From those early days to his time in Canada—where he joined us one unforgettable summer in Prince Edward Island, cooking up countless Bengali dishes—Masud’s culinary talent has always stood out.
For over 20 years now, Royal Cafe in Montreal has been the ultimate showcase of Masud’s passion, precision, and mastery of Bengali cuisine. The food is absolutely extraordinary. From the most flavorful Tehari and tender Chicken Roast to perfectly spiced Shami Kababs, every dish is a testament to his deep expertise and love for his craft.
The service and ambiance are warm and welcoming, but it’s the food that truly steals the show—each bite feels like a nostalgic trip to the heart of Bengal. Chef Masud has a rare gift for creating authentic, soulful dishes that bring people together.
Whether you’re looking to host a Bengali-themed event or simply want to treat yourself to some of the best Bengali cuisine Montreal has to offer, Royal Cafe is a must-visit. I cannot recommend it enough!

Attention!

Right near my office always fresh always great very friendly service
Absolutely excellent.I came here during my work lunch because I wasn't able to bring my own - a rarity.I love Indian food and I'm happy that I found this restaurant. The fries were some of the best I've had - not what I would have expected. There was a garlic mayonnaise of some kind that came with it that was also really good. The butter chicken was fresh and delicious. The sauce was excellent and the chicken was tender.$16 is a steal for food of this quality and with a portion of that size.I will definitely be returning here - probably on a weekly basis.I look forward to trying the rest of their menu.

Friendly owner, large portion of food. Great price-performance
It was a really great experience in Royal Cafe. The service and the ambience was amazing. But most importantly was the food. It was by far the most tasty Tehari, Chicken roast and Shami Kabab - I had in Montreal. The owner Masud Siddique is a professional with 20+ years of catering experience and he knows Bengali Cuisine like no one else. A must recommend for hosting Bengali themed occasions.
