Très bel endroit excellent accueil....excellent service. Étonnées du rapport nourriture/prix.
Had the special sugar shack brunch and it was amazing. Food was amazing and service was even better. What an experience!
Everything from how I was greeted and the warm bread to go with a bright, cold glass of Prosecco through the beat salad and sea bass, was excellent. The room is cozy and full of history, servers were attentive and cheerful and you could actually hear yourself think! Definitely a place to repeat.
Amazing service and food!

The place is charming, the service is a little slow but OK. The maître d’ is a bit superfluous for this type of bistro and we weren’t a huge fan of his approach. The main problem is food. We would expect better from a bistro in a Relais & Châteaux. Dishes too salty, soup without any taste reminiscent of a bowl of water, meat dish correct but without personality, poorly sweetened whipped cream, etc. It wasn't bad, but again, you expect better in an establishment like that. You can easily eat better for less. It was our first and last time.

Lamb was super tough and half inedible with fat/ tendons. When told waitress, she looked at what was left and said oh yeah that’s a bad piece of meat. But didn’t adjust the bill or anything. Just gave us a small box of chocolates.
We had a quiet table, close to another table. One waitress rushed by us 30-40 times during dinner, cutting between the right tables. Walked extremely loud, and always afraid she was going to hit our elbows. Was pretty overwhelming.
Seemed to ignore my wife and I when we arrived. Was a bit odd.
Very elderly crowd here.
We ate here back in 2021 on the porch for a late lunch. Was an amazing experience. Very high end with fantastic service. Was really disappointed with our recent experience inside, being awful.

Where to start? Let's start with the mocktails, which were the best and most deliciously complex we've ever tasted! The food is prepared with artistry and passion; the service was ideal. The best eclair for dessert, which we split three ways because we were so full! We will be back. Merci!

Hovey Manor was very accommodating with my request to change the reservation at the last moment. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. It made for a very enjoyable evening with friends.
Our first visit to the Tap Room. Unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations. It always all depends on what we expect and where we are. But we are at a Relais & Chateau, so yes we expected a little more. Here os our evaluation and why:
1. The service was attentive but not outstanding but very polite.
2. The food was ordinary. We ordered poutine which seems to be drowning in sauce. The mushroom soupe was an insipid pure, probably the worst mushroom soupe I have had for a very long time. The burgers were ok but nothing memorable unfortunately.
3. We could have lived with ordinary food and distracted service but what made the entire experience somewhat painful was the lack of ambience. No music at all on the terasse; we could follow everyone’s conversation without any effort which made it very uncomfortable. A little soft music such as lounge or even classical music would have made the entire experience much more pleasant.
The Manoir Hovey is none the less a beautiful place.

The duck in the poutine was full of tough, fatty pieces. The gnocchi sauce tasteless. But the staff is very helpful and polite

Really good restaurant with impeccable service, next to the Manoir Hovey. We were unable to get reservations at the more famous Hatley, but we don't regret it as the Tap Room was fantastic. They also gracefully accommodated us for a last minute lunch and even gave us a table when we wanted to eat 1 hour before our dinner reservations.
As you might have heard, their poutine is fantastic and I recommend trying it. The rest of the menu we tried were great too, including their unique selection of cocktails and mocktails.
