This restaurant in North Hatley was cute and charming, with beautiful scenery. However, the portions were extremely small for the price, and we were surprised by an extra $5 per person charge for live music—adding $15 to our bill for three people. It did take a while to have water refilled, and no one did seem to check on us during our meal unless we grabbed their attention, which is always uncomfortable to do. While it’s a lovely spot in a tourist area, we’d likely try a different restaurant next time we’re back.

Reserved a table overlooking the water and boardwalk.We ordered 5 different plates and all were very good.Post supper I ordered a coffee and desert.Coffee was off the charts good as well as the desert.My wife and I very much enjoyed how peaceful and relaxing supper was overlooking the water.I don't think the owners understand just how lucky they are to have that garden overlooking the water because it is screaming out loud for love and care.My mind went wild with ideas on what I would do with this absolute jewel of a location.C'mon guys do not! let that beautiful piece of property waste away.Show it the love it greatly deserves.Bring it lo life with some proper landscaping and the vibrant colours of wildflowers and beautiful shrubs.

Lived in this area for 24 years and it's the first time we have gone to this restaurant. Not a big selection on the menu but our choices were delicious 😋. Will definitely be returning. A very rustic look and live jazz musicians were playing. Service was really good as she was very busy.

We held a private event at the Merc and the whole experience was wonderful. The team helped us create a menu to accommodate everyone's food preferences and dietary restrictions. The room they set up for us was lovely (the perfect weather allowed us to use the extra space by the river - especially great for the children). And the food was presented so beautifully and tasted amazing. The bar was available for all our guests. I can't that the Merc Team enough. You made a special day even more special.

You can’t be in a rush because they’re always understaffed for the number of people who come here (it’s very popular.) But the drinks and food are good!
I was really very disappointed with the place. It is very well located, well decorated and has a lot of potential.
Although our sandwiches were good, they were nothing particularly exceptional.
And the service is rough, inefficient and excessively slow. It took 40 minutes to serve us 2 sandwiches… I received mine and my partner got his 10 minutes later. In the kitchen and in the dining room, they are young people who lack experience and organization. We can clearly see that they are quickly overwhelmed.

Today 1/10 a mishap happened to me on the lake kiosk, my phone fell in the water I called on the employees of this restaurant who were kind enough to help me fish it out, a employee jumped into the water and recovered it we were comforted with a drink free of charge I would like to inform the customers of this generous gesture.A big thank you again.A grateful Breton

I ordered a London fog and it was so weak it was basically just hot water. Won’t recommend. I can’t believe we payed money for this.
