We mentionned that my partner was pregnant, the staff managed to accommodate except for fish eggs in the amuse geule, good thing we checked because she almost ate them. One of the servers also laughed at us diring his explanation of the service, which made us both uncomfortable.
An utterly superb, nearly 3-hour dining experience, the memory of which my wife and I will relish for years. We had the degustation” (tasting) menu with accompanying wine pairing. The service was impeccable and the creativity and presentation of each dish was brilliant. Widely-spaced tables provided a perfect ambiance. (Note: I mistakenly gave a 2-star rather than 1-star for noise but the website did NIT allow me to rectify my typo.). If you are going to eat out once this year, do so here!!
Things didn't quite come together at Le Hatley. A very traditional dining room in a very traditional old resort promised high end dining, but failed at the basics. We visited on a long weekend in winter. Two thirds of the food was delicious, but some was just off. The sablefish (black cod) was strangely fishy tasting, and the meringue in the pear dessert was actually rancid. The sommelier took forever to take our wine order; and after pouring two very stingy glasses was never seen from again. We'd have ordered another glass with dinner and another for dessert but we were abandoned. We asked a waiter to bring the sommelier, but that never came to pass.. The restaurant was not full, so that doesn't explain what happened. To the managers, it seems perhaps that you are resting on your past achievements. Given your achievements and how proudly you display them, perhaps a bit of arrogance has crept in? The experience we had did not live up to your prior acclaim.

Spent our 15th anniversary last night and it was phenomenal. Amazing staff, delicious food and extremely warm and welcoming dining room. Can't wait to try the hotel rooms and come back for the full experience !

Superbe endroit, les plats servis sont magnifiquement décorés et très bons. Cuisson parfaite. Quelques bémols tout de même. Les portions restent très modestes. Et le prix est un un peu trop élevé, principalement pour les vins.

The restaurant room has an old English decoration, not to my taste but very bright, we had a table away from a large table and it was very romantic.The wine and champagne list is very qualitative with a very professional sommelier who knows how to advise you on food and wine pairings.We had a pleasant time for this dinner.

La salle de restaurant est d'une décoration vieille Angleterre pas de mon goût mais très lumineuse, nous avons eu une table à l'écart d une grande tablée et c'était très romantique. La carte des vins et champagne est très qualitative avec un sommelier très professionnel qui sait vous conseiller sur l accord mets & vins. Nous avons passé un agréable moment pour ce dîner.

Nous avons apprécié la nourriture qui était excellent comme on peut s'y attendre dans un tel établissement. À notre arrivée, 18:30, nous avons senti une pression de commander rapidement. Les serveuses étaient vraiment insistantes. Voulait elles nous montrer leur empressement à nous servir? C'était trop insistant. Quant à la sommelière, elle était carrément harcelante. Nous nous sommes sentis pressés tout au long du repas. Nous avons pris le menu dégustation pour profiter de la bonne table. Nous aurions aimé en profiter mieux. Ce sentiment était partagé par les 4 convives. Le vin était bien mais il aurait mérité être carafé, une oublie vraiment surprenante pour un lieu qui est reconnu pour son soin des vin.
Très belle expérience. Menu délicieux autant visuellement que gustatif! Sélection de vin très intéressante. Mais surtout service impeccable avec une belle touche d'humour! Merci spécial à Romain!

Quelle expérience pour nos papilles! Le menu dégustation avec accord mets et vin prestige était tout à fait délicieux! Bravo au chef, à ses assistants, au sommelier ainsi qu'à toute l'équipe de services. Nous y retournerons certainement. Merci!

Nous sommes allés profiter du Brunch du Nouvel An. Ce fut une expérience inoubliable en termes de saveurs et de service. L'attention portée aux clients est unique. De plus, c'est un endroit vraiment chaleureux et bucolique. Que dire de l'emplacement et de la vue magnifique sur le Lac Massawippi. Le Manoir Hovey est un bastion d'excellence!

Comme à l'habitude, nous avons beaucoup aimé le brunch du Jour de l'an. Le repas était festif et succulent. Mention spéciale au sommelier (agréable et très compétent) et au chef Alexandre Vachon, le meilleur des Cantons de l'est.
