Cantine Karine is a typical roadside casse-croute with a surprisingly good selection of well-prepared diner food. The hot dogs with coleslaw (toutes-garnies) and fish dinner are noteworthy, along with the best poutine in the world, featuring very generous amounts of cheese curds and home fries. The lobster club sandwich is a must, though some find the Miracle Whip style sauce masks the lobster taste. Despite the awkward flow due to a small window for transactions, the service is courteous, fast, and friendly. Don’t miss the excellent fried clams, high-quality fries, and the sweet BBQ-like "ketchup sauce." It’s a super good family restaurant experience, with generous portions and dogs accepted on the terrace.
