as a long time customer, I must say the quality is at it's worse. last order, the kabab was over cooked and this time way undercooked (almost red inside). hard to order the special as many restrictions. Unless we see changes, won't go back for a long time. no worries if the management likes to contact me. always liked the place and would want to go back one day.

We dined at Chateau Kabab West Island last week (September 4, 2025). I didn't want to express any comments about the food or service. My primary concern is that they appear to be inconsistent with Quebec regulations. They calculated my tips based on the total amount AFTER federal and provincial sales taxes. As of May 2025, tipping percentages should be calculated BEFORE sales taxes are applied. While a three-dollar increase might seem like a small amount for me, I found this practice concerning. I didn’t realize their CHEATING practice until today. It’s disappointing to discover this, especially considering my trust in their adherence to Quebec law.

Amazing Iraqi food in Montreal. The food and the atmosphere for a Thursday night were awesome. The decor, lighting and elegantly adorned walls are the first thing that you observe and feel home in. The ordering time and when the food came was not long, 15-20 mins which meant they prepped it fresh, there were 5 tables (20~ people) besides us at the restaurant. The meat was succulent and flavorful. Highly recommend getting one of the mixed grill dishes to get variety and avoid hassle of ordering things separately. Nicely tenderised meat cooked to absolute Middle-Eastern perfection!
Thanks for giving us a memorable evening! The owner met us during our visit, such a soft spoken gentleman and very passionate about food too!

The garlic potatoes are spicy.. to me it shouldn't be spicy cuz some people can not eat spicy . The meat Kebab was little bit hard.
The meat should be more tender.

Disappointed. We went to this place in the hope of having Persian/Iranian dish. To my surprise, there was nothing Persian or Iranian about this place. The food had no typical Persian flavors of kobideh and jooje kabab, the meat were tough contrary to Iranian dishes. The rice was not basmati but rather the type of rice used in shawarma places. The cook was not Iranian either, so if you go there in hope of some Persian dish you will be very disappointed.

Best Kabab place I’ve ever been to, very good food, very nice waiters and clean washrooms. They also have an area to pray.
