Auberge Villa Des Frontières

Booked online leaving approximate arrival time and received confirmation by email. Website showed lovely views and a restaurant on-site. Showed up to find front entrance locked with a sign showing a phone number to call. With my limited French, I mentioned I had a reservation and was told a key was around the side in a mailbox with a code to get in. Did receive a lake view room we requested and the views are spectacular. Wifi password that was on the back of the door did not work. Tried calling again with no answer. Also emailed-no response. Did a walk down to main floor and found another password written on a chalkboard as well as on the wall in front of the checkin counter that was closed. Very poor customer service of not advising of check-in procedure nor restaurant being closed during stay.
Would only recommend for the spectacular views!

Gorgeous location! Rooms are clean but small and could use more amenities (e.g. reading lights) and generally a bit more love. There was no staff here when we visited.

I just called to ask about reserving a few rooms for a trip in August the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude said she didn't speak any English and there was no one there who spoke English. The rudeness and tone of voice is uncalled for I dont suggest anyone staying here if English is there only language.

Very good plate but the welcome from the waitress leaves something to be desired, sending us to the bar for lunch accompanied by flies, where is that?? While he had the place in the dining room we disturbed him

Room with an incredible view. Bathroom with large sliders on the walls, cleanliness to be desired
About twenty flies which get excited as soon as the light is turned on, in the bedroom and the bathroom. At night the flies hit your face.
I didn't sleep and I canceled my second night of reservation, without problem though.

No staff when we arrived. I had the impression of bothering the person on the phone to find out where to collect my keys....the room is very small, the bathroom is borderline clean, there are suspicious stains in the sheets and the bedding in the bathroom no service in the inn during the night, we hear the traffic as if it were in our room... too bad for such an enchanting place.
What changed our impression of the place: the kindness, the attentive way of the lady at the restaurant for lunch, a woman who loves what she does and loves people, it showed.
But not enough to want to come back

Only a bedside table where a decoder was placed.
No desk and a small white plastic chair.

No extra pillows or blankets, no hand soap, just one plastic cup.
As a bonus, a large fridge and a Keurig with 2 coffees.

Food is EXCELLENT..what a gem. Dinner was delicious and breakfast simply next level stuff. Not sure who runs the kitchen there but damn, bravo!

Minus one star for less that stellar service for dinner and slow service. We were one of the last ones there in the evening so that may have a lot to do with it but that should not matter in the service industry. Been there, done that, shouldn’t matter. The rest was great!

30 minute pour une poutine de frite conglé la pizza a laire d'un gateaux mccain et suite a un conflit avec des gens qui on envoyer un groupe pour me battre jme suis fait barer et dire par le policier que les gens d'ailleur ils en veule pas a la forteresse de la rive alors je deconseille a tout étranger de ce deplacer inutilment perdre son temps et la bar est pitoyable...lesse les mineur jouer au machine loto quebec jai meme vue un enfant de moin de 2 ans ce faire assoire devant la machine....cest completememt inaceptable...me suis meme deja fait dire par un employer de dékalicer ...jai vecu un manue de respect incroyable et les gens dici compreine tres bien que cest normal ce qui arive...jai eu des doute quand dans la photo quand ji remarquer le vehicule dun gars sur la cocaine qui ma agresser la fois que jai eter inviter a lauberge du villager par les proprietaire

The place is magnificent with views of the lake and the mountains. The service was impeccable and friendly. Very good chef, we ate very well. The best value for money.

One of the worst experiences I've had in my life trying a restaurant... They forget part of the order... $10 for a RUBBER burger... Plus the owner forces customers to pay 10% of tipping on take-out orders... Too bad I wanted to give this new administration a chance..
