🍣 A 5-Star Sushi Revelation: The Best Meal of My Life
This isn't just a sushi restaurant; it’s a temple to Edomae perfection. Choosing the spiced saumon roll at the counter was the best decision I've ever made. Every bite was a moment of pure culinary artistry.
The Culinary Highlights
The chef is a true master. The focus here is on flawless technique and sourcing.
• The Fish... Unbelievably pristine. Literally dissolved on my tongue with a clean, luxurious richness.
• The Rice.... This is the soul of the sushi, and it was perfect warm, subtly seasoned, and packed with an airy lightness that melted effortlessly when it hit the palate. This is the difference between good sushi and great sushi.
• The Standout:
Ambiance and Service
The restaurant is a beautiful, minimalist sanctuary. Service was impeccable: attentive without being intrusive. The courses were timed perfectly, and the chef’s personal presentation of each piece made the experience feel truly special.
Bottom Line: While it’s an indulgence, the unparalleled quality, mastery of technique, and serene dining experience make worth every penny. If you want the absolute best sushi you will ever eat, you must come here.

The sushi has super generous fillings. Im a fan of cheese so i requested extra cheese in one roll and im in love. The salmon nigiri is so fresh it melts in ur mouth. The rice isn't hard at all and its super soft which compliments the salmon on top heavily. I will be back!

Absolutely fantastic! The quality of sushi is outstanding and one of the best in montreal. I have tried others but nothing compare to michael sushi taste. Their sushi rolls were delicious and melting in my mouth. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Definitely will visit again.

I’ve tried a lot of sushi in Montreal and Micheal’s sushi has some of the best quality and variety I’ve ever tried. Super fast service and amazing people to converse with; what more could you ask for. I’d recommend the salmon rice paper spring rolls! To die for

This was my very first time going in Michael Sushi, a dine in / take out restaurant on Hochelaga about 2 years ago. There is limited seating spaces, possibly for 2 parties of 4, plus 4 bar stool at the counter top. There is also free street parking.
For me, what defines a good sushi restaurant is their commitment to freshness and seasonality.
I like that this restaurant stays with the traditional sushi offering as this allows for a more authentic experience, often regarded as the pinnacle of sushi dining.
I also like that this restaurant focuses on the core of sushi and sashimi, without diluting into other dining menu too far from the core business.
The fish has a clean, delicate oceanic aroma with firm and smooth textures. The salmon has a rich orange vibrant colour which melts on the palate without any unpleasant aftertaste.
Sashimi slices were all uniform, and sushi held its shape when picked up.
The portion size is reasonable and each bite unleashes the layers of flavor and texture that unfold.
The restaurant appears to be clean and well maintained with the chef and assistant taking pride and care to delicately prepare and assemble the pieces. One very critical piece for me is the handling of the food with gloves, that I deeply appreciate.
Our request for some extra Wasabi and ginger were graciously served and plentiful, I can say.
I will come back again.

GO THERE! I regret not having been there sooner. It's small and not very flashy but it's THE BEST place for sushi! Since I discovered this restaurant I don't go anywhere else lol The dishes are cooked with love I LOVE their sushi! and the owner is so nice to the customers, it's the perfect place for sushi fans in the area!
I RECOMMEND!

WOW! WOW! WOW! Run and get some right away. The sushi is fresh, as big as I've ever seen it, the pieces of tuna, salmon and shrimp are generous. Honestly, this is the Sushi PLACE. This was our first experience at this restaurant and I can guarantee you that we will return.
