Cafe Milano West Island

The second time I decided to try the steak sub it was inedible, you couldn't chew it. It's like they decided to just put any scrap meat inside and said that's good enough, no quality control. I'll never eat from here again.

So, here's the thing. I don't love their salads... The salad dressing leaves much to be desired and it's just on the bland side. I tried one at another location years ago and couldn't even finish it, it did nothing for me. But now I'm 20 weeks pregnant, and saw Milano's on Uber the other day... Thought what the heck, let's try a salad again.. It was fine, as expected. Did nothing for me. Very boring, thought NOPE, not for me.

But a week later, it popped up on Uber again. Cue absolutely insanely massive craving for a salad I do not love. But, baby must have what baby wants - so I ordered it... and it suddenly tastes incredible. Life changing. It's the same salad it always has been, but the baby can't get enough, so I guess this is my life now. Maybe i'm the problem.

Side note: their Nutella Bombas are insane though. Also got an iced coffee and it's very very good.

I love Milano, nice staff, decent decor and awesome coffee! Beats Star Bucks and any other chain out there.

I went with my father for coffee and sandwiches on a Tuesday evening. He had the tuna salad and I had the grilled chicken, and both were excellent; mine was outstanding. I found the atmosphere a bit impersonal, but I tend to prefer a more intimate space, so maybe that's just me. The service was friendly, and both coffees were very good. I received good value for my buck, which is a growing concern these days. I'll definitely come back again!

Absolutely horrible. 4 out of 6 people I went with here got food poisoning. They literally make the food with no gloves there is zero sanitation. Do not come here it's disgusting also the food tasted bad and bland

Great service!! Wonderful desert and quality sandwich! An excellent place for a meeting!

We enjoy coming here every now and then when we’re in town. The place is nice as it’s a newer location and the service is great. The food is generally good but some things are a bit of a hit and miss. The pastries and coffee are overall great but the sandwiches can be disappointing. I got the chicken one and it lacked substance and flavour. I felt like I could’ve made a much better one at home. Others I’ve had were a little better.

The fries and onion rings were so delicious, some of the best I’ve ever had. But the sandwich was so sad and disappointing. Barely any meat, the veggies were thrown in however, nothing about it was good. The cannoli was just ok, on the bitter side over sweet. The service was slow, I felt like the staff talked a lot between each other instead of being present on the job. I didn’t like the service at the counter all that much, no smiles no kindness. The decor and atmosphere itself is nice. Feels like an old school Italian cafe where everyone comes together to drink and eat and hang out. Overall this meal was 50$ for 2 sandwiches fried onion rings and a cannoli. I wouldn’t order the sandwiches or cannoli again but I would definitely go back for the entrees and to try the ginormous chocolate chip cookie.
