Katoreya Sushi Restaurant

The sushi platers were ordinary. They were good, but not a WOW. The place was nice, it was an All you can eat sushi before but now it’s a restaurant. Just average not worth for the price sadly.

This place does not deserve the rating it has. We were the only table at the opening and waited an hour for appetizers, which were all underwhelming and overpriced. Portions are small. The waiter took our order for the main platter- an assortment of sushi, and 30 minutes later no food. When we asked for an update, he seemed confused and said he did not place the order…???

I don’t think we were just unlucky, the food was genuinely not worth it.

Fantastic Sushi! This is only the 2nd Sushi restaurant that I have been to that was not ayce... and honestly it was one of the best!
The menu had a good selection, the food was very fresh and the atmosphere was pleasant.
I don't know if it is a regular feature, however we were able to bring our own bottle of wine... something I have always liked in Montreal, as it is quite uncommon in Ontario!

We were also surprised by the quality of their coffee and desserts
It's rare that Asian restaurants offer a very good choice.

The food is excellent, an extraordinary diversity. The staff (waiters and cooks) are efficient and helpful, they always have a smile on their faces. The presentation of the dishes is refined and the atmosphere of the place is warm. To test! 10/10!

Me and my husband didn't have a fun experience at this restaurant. The water has so many bugs stuck on the ice, I was about to drink and noticed few bugs floating! So right there you lose your appetite. We also waited for our food for a very long time and the place wasn't even busy. They also brought the plate one by one with like more than 30 mins apart. Lastly, they gave us our Dragon eye sushi order which is burnt! Horrible!
