$9 bread that's not even fresh from the day before. Chocolatine at $7 each! Never pay so much for pastries!

A bakery with a lot of tasty, yummy gluten free options and the possibility to sit down and have a hot beverage. Though not safe for those with coeliac disease , it's a good place for those who have an intolerance. I love this place and the owner is super friendly and takes her time to explain it all ! Every time I visit Canada and Montreal for family reasons, I come back here.

Amazing and delicious bakery with tons of gluten free options. As a celiac it has been so hard to find convenient and delicious gluten free bread options. I am obsessed with their croissants, including a pistachio flavoured one. Their baguettes are amazing as well. I highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you eat gluten free! Service is amazing, and if wanting the most fresh bread go on Wednesdays or Fridays. :)

NOT VEGAN. Had severe anaphylactic reaction to dairy to what they claimed to be vegan products. LIARS, their products definitely contain egg and dairy. Do not trust them.

While not celiac friendly, this bread is awesome: bagels, olive bread, croissants and tourtiere (order ahead st Christmas time). Service is good altho at holiday times very busy and some wait to be expected. Also a freezer area with frozen items and lactose free cheese in fridge. Delightful addition to the village

We we visiting from Victoria, BC and just stumbled on this fabulous bakery on their first day in their new location, just down the road at 290 Bord-du-Lac, Pointe-Claire. We were blown away by the light, airy space, the tremendous variety of baked goods and especially by the vast knowledge of the owner, a retired naturopath. After we have returned home, my sister-in-law will be a regular at this wonderful bakery!

Food is not very tasty and quite expensive. Place is very small, not a lot of place to sit down comfortably. I believe they have gluten-free food (or they did), at least that.

La mie bio carries gluten free vegan pastries and scones that are made in a separate facility. They are made with organic ingredients and no refined sugar. They are displayed in the same area as gluten items but you can ask to reserve them before they get put out. They usually come in fresh Tuesday mornings. The almond danish was so delicious as well as the spinach scone and the apple turnover.

Although a little disorganized and a bit sloppy looking inside, she serves delicious meals which are apparently made with organic ingredients. The breads are from a boulangerie in Montreal and her desserts might look delicious but their open air presentation cut my appetite. All in all a quaint little organic "bakery" that sits well in this quaint little village in Pointe-Claire. A minute away from the marina and the wonderful lakeside.

Lucie Hamel is on a mission. She believes food is not just something that sustains our body, but feeds our spirit. With her recent launch of La Mie Bio Boulangerie Artisanale in the Pointe Claire Village she aims to bring healthy organic food to individuals and families on the west island. La Mie Bio Boulangerie Artisanale,Heather Boyd, Rhonda Massad, West Island Blog La Mie Bio offers organic breads and baked goods from Le Fromentier in the Plateau Mont Royal. There is an array of classic pastries and specialty items such as spelt croissants for the health conscious and maple ones for the sweet tooth! They also offer a line of raw vegan items from Crudessence. The ready-to-eat counter has a wide selection of nitrate-free charcuterie, quiches, spreads and soups. There is non-pasteurized yogurt from a local farm that respects the environment and is pesticide-free. There are many gluten-free and lactose-free products and new items will be added depending on customer needs. Lucie will be adding her own home-made treats and is available for catering. There is an extensive fresh sandwich menu made with organic local ingredients. Look forward to picnic boxes that will be available soon. Perfect for a picnic by the water. La Mie Bio is located in a quaint house on Lakeshore Road just west of Cartier. Lucie is delighted to provide a family environment that encourages children to discover delicious, healthy food. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. There is a view towards of lake and plenty of parking in the back. There is terrace seating in front when the weather permits. La Mie Bio Boulangerie Artisanale 256 Lakeshore Road Pointe Claire Village (438) 323-1918 Open: Tuesday to Sunday 8am to 6pm
