Had a wonderful evening once again at Lucille's. The downtown restaurant in the west island. We had such good service and were even greeted by the chef. Cocktails are great. We also tried the new "feta" style dip and we recommend to add to the menu. As usual the steak was perfectly aged and cooked. Great vibe and sercice

Good restaurant. One comment: there's no need to force waitresses to wear short skirts. The people in our group were uncomfortable with this approach.

We were extremely disappointed to find out that their meats are from the USA, when we have amazing beef in Canada! We will not be returning until this is changed!!

Honest Reviews

I recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. For appetizers, I ordered the burrata and fried chicken, followed by the Wood Oven Chicken for my main and tiramisu for dessert.

The food itself was very flavorful and delicious. The fried chicken and tiramisu were standout dishes — both were incredibly tasty and memorable. However, I was disappointed with the portion size of the Wood Oven Chicken. For a main dish, it only came with six small pieces, which felt underwhelming — especially since the fried chicken appetizer was actually larger than the main.

It’s worth noting that this is more of a seafood restaurant, and I didn’t order any seafood, so other guests’ experiences may differ. That said, even if you’re not a seafood eater, there are still good options available.

Service was a bit disappointing. Our server seemed rushed and annoyed, didn’t explain much, and appeared more focused on getting our orders in quickly rather than creating a welcoming experience.

On the positive side, the restaurant had a cozy, casual, and lively atmosphere, and it was very clean with some unique decor elements that added charm. Despite being busy, our orders were accurate and arrived in a reasonable time.

In terms of value, I felt the experience could have been better — especially given the rushed service. While it’s more of a higher-end spot, the prices weren’t outrageous.

A plus was the easy parking since it’s located in a mall, and our reservation ensured there was no wait.

Overall, I’d recommend this place for the food, especially the fried chicken and tiramisu, but I’d suggest going in with tempered expectations for portion sizes and service. If you enjoy seafood, your experience may be even better.

The service was good, the food was nice but I also felt it was overpriced.

The food is great. It’s too bad that the service is terrible. We hardly saw our waitress. It took too long to order drinks let alone our meal. Nobody asked if everything was ok with our meals.

Hello, so i dined at Lucilles Fairview on Feb 15 2025. This was my second time there. The service and ambiance was as amazing as last year, sadly my dish was not.

Last year i had ordered the octopus dish and it was beyond amazing. I was raving about it for a couple of weeks. Yesterday i ordered the same dish and was sadly, wholeheatedly, disappointed. While the octopus was well cooked, the quantity was not the same as last year for about the same price (shrinkflation?), and the underlying Greek salad was not made the same way. Last year there was an almost feta puree included which was a wonderful addition tp the dish, this year they just put a couple of small pieces of feta. Definitely not the same quality dish as last year, and not something i would ever order again at Lucilles if i were to ever go back.

I should also mention we started with the large oysters, and one of the six had a slight off-putting taste, luckily no one got sick.

It's too bad really, they had a winning dish last year which made the dining experience perfect, and well worth the money spent.

I recently visited Lucille for an early lunch meeting. While the restaurant was busy, it wasn’t overwhelmingly so. However, what stood out—unfortunately for the wrong reasons—was the excessive and intrusive service.

The number of times we were asked, “Can I move your plate?” was unbelievable. It became disruptive to our conversation and made us feel as though we were being rushed out of the restaurant. There was no subtlety or diplomacy in how the staff handled it, leaving us feeling unwelcome. In the end, we had to relocate and continue our meeting at Fairview Mall.

A well-trained staff should be aware of dining etiquette—there is, after all, a standard way to position cutlery to indicate a finished meal. Is this not something the restaurant emphasizes in training? Unfortunately, this experience has left a lasting impression, and I will not be returning.

Recommendation: Lucille should train its staff to be more mindful of how they approach customers, especially during business meetings or leisurely meals. A touch of hospitality and discretion would go a long way in improving the dining experience.

We were 4 out for dinner and all appetizers were incredible.
When it came to the main course, I had the lamb chops and I received about 8 very sad pieces of lamb. I understand when cutting a lamb loin, some pieces come out small, but I don't believe they should be shared with customers, as they end up burnt next to the nicer pieces. I had the same meal at the Dix30 restaurant and it was a completely different experience.
Other than that, the atmosphere was great, the drinks were great, and our waitress was great!
I'd still recommend, but I think we will go back to the Dix30 branch.

The price of the dishes is correct however, it would benefit from lower priced wine options. It's noisy.
