Not bad at all. Good Guinness. Food was good. A little quite for a early mid week evening. But, a great hang out.

I hadn't been in years, and I was glad I went back. We really enjoyed our time there. Our waitress was attentive and never rushed us. The drinks were nice, and the food was good. Not too loud so we could enjoy the conversation.

Only come for a few drinks before meeting up with friends, but the fried pickles are a must try! My husband had his reservations about it, but in the end he really liked them! I loved them, great service! Great atmosphere! Highly recommend!

McNiven’s was a great first stop for me and my family after arriving to Newfoundland. The food was incredible and the fish was fresh. We were very pleased with the service by our waiter, Noah and the owner David. They were both very personable, efficient, and attentive. On behalf of myself and my family we are so happy we picked McNiven’s as our first stop in NL!

We arrived and found the place was 18+. Which was actually fine because it was a really nice evening to sit on the patio. The service was friendly. I got the club sandwich, which wasn't particularly good. The chicken was very dry and overcooked, and part of it tasted somewhat off. I'm pretty sure the bacon was the microwave kind like ready crisp or whatever it's called. As well, the sandwich was made on wonder bread. I suspect sandwiches in Ireland are made with much better ingredients.
