Piazza Romana

I've been to Romana's several times before -hence I returned this past weekend for a family birthday. The entire experience was disappointing - from unworkable table (one guest in a wheelchair), to cold soup, delayed offering of dessert, no coffee ever arrived, etc etc - and the (many) cob webs on the ceiling are all indicative of what its like. The Manager asked me how my lunch was - and after telling her, she recounted to the server all that was wrong in front of me and others. Not returning.

Every thing is good, pizza, pasta and wine were good.

Just you’ll be too close to your next table and you can kind of listen to their conversation.

Always enjoy going in Pointe Claire village. The scenery is nice, the restaurant ambiance is nice. The food is very good, the service and nice. I’m only knocking it down a star because there’s no kids menu and not much adapted for children.

Think twice before booking at this restaurant. Very poor management and awful food quality. The food made us sick. My first and last visit to this restaurant. The meatballs were as hard as rocks. The pizza was awful. Both the coffee and key lime pie were stale and cold. Our waiter had no interest and tried to come up with excuses for everything. We reached out to the manager (Rosy) and conveyed our unpleasant experience at her restaurant. She appeared as if we were bothering her and did not take responsibility. Very disappointing. We spent $170 that was thrown into the garbage.

I ordered take out pizza, the Romana Special. I have been going to Piazza Romana for over a decade and this was the worse pizza I got. It used to be one of my favorite pizza place. It’s overpriced and not great.

We’ve been going to this neighborhood spot in the middle of Pointe-Claire village for about 30 years. While it’s expanded considerably the quality of the food has remained fairly consistent.

Our group of 11 was seated at the table that was already set for us. Oddly, a couple of spots were missing parts of their place settings (forks, napkins, glasses).

The service wasn’t particularly friendly, and was extremely slow. It took about 35 minutes between when we arrived and when menus were distributed, and we had been seated for almost exactly an hour before they started taking our orders.

One server told us that we could still order from the lunch menu (until 16:00), but another told us that was no longer possible (at 15:36). It took another 45 minutes for our meals to arrive.

The food was quite tasty, but there was a gap of about 10 minutes between the arrival of the first dishes and the last - so several of us had cold dishes.

Overall good, but definitely not as great as it used to be.

It's good and it's moderate in price. Very good service. Almost full parking lot when we arrived. Good wine and cocktail list.

Nous sommes aller souper ce soir à ce restaurant, la nourriture était correcte sans plus ni moins mais quand fût le temps de payer la facture , le serveur (Corey) n était pas du tout heureux du pourboire que nous lui avons laissé. Il n a pas dit au revoir ni merci, il a quitté la table fâché. J ai donné 15% ce que je considérais très bien pour le service que nous avons eu.

We had an amazing experience at piazza romana! We held our son’s baptism lunch there and we were blown away by the great food, friendly and attentive staff, fast service and beautiful room. We can’t wait to go back!
