I visited Studio 77 today and checked the signage before entering. The sign clearly stated that computers were not allowed, but there was no mention anywhere that dogs were prohibited. I came in with my calm, well-behaved dog and wasn’t trying to hide her, several customers even approached to pet her while I waited.

I ordered and paid, then stood patiently for my coffee. Only after I had paid did the owner loudly call out, “No dogs allowed!” I immediately apologized and said it was no problem. I also mentioned that I hadn’t seen any sign indicating that dogs weren’t permitted. He responded rudely, “There’s no sign, but I said no dogs allowed.” I then left as instructed.

What was disappointing wasn’t the rule itself (businesses are absolutely entitled to set their own policies) but the way the situation was handled. It felt as though I was allowed to order and pay before being told to leave, and the interaction was unnecessarily abrupt and hostile.

I’ve been coming here for years, but after this experience I won’t be returning. There are many other coffee shops in the area that treat customers with more courtesy. Based on other reviews I’ve since read, it seems this kind of attitude from the owner isn’t uncommon, which is unfortunate.

Very disappointing experience. The chicken and mustard sandwich had wilted lettuce that should never have been served. Portions were extremely small, and $31+ for two tiny sandwiches, a Coke, and a coffee is hard to justify. Poor value and questionable freshness.

Very charming cafe in Pointe-Claire village. No Wi-Fi and sitting for hours with your computer is strongly discouraged. It's a perfect place for great conversations!

On Saturday at 1 pm, nothing left to eat but minestrone soup. Barely any taste and hardly any solids. 17 dollars for a bowl of soup and a cup of tea.

A warm and cozy place for coffee and visit with friends and family (we did not try the food).
A pleasant surprise is the fully stocked bar for evening gatherings (sometimes with music). Note, this is not a bar and laptops / digital nomads working onsite are not welcome.

Can’t gatekeep this place - it’s that good! The service staff are always so attentive and genuinely smiling, which makes every visit such a treat.
All summer, I was obsessed with their lavender matcha ! hands down the best I’ve had in town. And for the past three months, my go-to has been their flat white with almond milk. It’s my daily dose of happiness and the perfect way to start my day.

Such a cozy vibe and consistently amazing coffee. Can’t recommend it enough ! ☕💛
