Horrible service. Employees are very rude. There is no one looking out for your table the entire time. When it’s time to pay if you don’t tip the amount they expect they will throw the receipt at your face. Also they kept giving us food we never ordered or not serve us what we did order. Bathrooms are extremely disgusting and entire restaurant just feels unkept.

We were Sushi St Jean on Oct 24, 2024 for lunch and a friend (retiree). We finished lunch, paid and left the restaurant 2:15 PM to head Toronto. I realized that they had a senior rate $23.99 but they charged regular rate $28.99 to each of us (3 retirees). We are 70s by appearance but didn't guide the senior rate. The server had terrible mistake and rip-off from us.

Went for supper with my boyfriend since the place was recommended in Facebook. The restaurant is nice, the food is decent, a little overpriced; however the thing that ruined dinner was the waiter that gave us the bill, when we did not request it (felt like he was kicking us out of the place), and after we payed he said "was the food good?", and when I answer that it was very nice he replied "then, why so little for the tip?". He continued walking and talking in another language, but let me the feeling that he was talking about us since the rest of the coworkers turn to see our table. Right at the end... what a way to ruin everything. Not just for the rudeness of the comment, but also the disrespect of him talking badly about us with his coworkers

We went to the new sushi Hin restaurant. Few days ago, we met the owner and he offered us 50% off if we came back to eat here. When we came back 2 days ago, we asked the staff to confirm that we can get a 50% discount and he said yes. However, when we were getting our bill, the waiter gave us the full amount and when we asked about the discount again, he said that it was only 15% and that they never give more than that. This was very misleading of their part as we would have never came to eat here if it was not for the discount. Ended up still paying 45$ each, with the 15% discount!

The sushi was pretty decent for a new sushi spot, though I did prefer the old sushi st jean. The menu also didn't have a bunch of variety and some of my favorite foods were sadly not on the menu anymore. The service was mediocre. The boss was super friendly but one of the waiters seemed as though he wanted us to eat quickly so we could get out. Though I am going to give it 4 stars because it's a new restaurant and there is potential for developpment.
No worse... seriously it's a good sushi in case of panic. If you live in the area this may be your favorite sushi place.

The service was great, but my son experienced diarrhea and vomiting multiple times after eating sushi here. The salmon may not have been fresh and of poor quality.
