Horrible customer service. So rude! They said they can’t attend us because they didn’t have a waiting area. Which we saw they did because there was other people waiting. The hostess had the worse rudest attitude.

Mon restaurant préféré , j’y retourne 2/3 fois à chaque année pour y manger à mon avis, le meilleur tartare de Québec 🥰🥂🍷

Service is too slow. Had to wait 30 minutes after the app (which came out wrong and had to be remade) to get the main.

The pork chop was tender and well-balanced — great pairing with cheese, potato, and a flavourful sauce. Recommended.

The fish and shrimp dish completely surprised me.

The skin had this subtle, almost bread-like aroma, with a texture that was gently chewy and lightly crisp at the same time — perfectly balanced, nothing overdone. Paired with the creamy sauce, the whole dish felt incredibly smooth and layered.

The fish itself was firm and satisfying, and the combination actually reminded me of a refined savory cake rather than a typical fish dish. The sides were thoughtful too — crisp greens, mashed potatoes that melted in the mouth, and a touch of tomato for brightness.

Everything felt intentional and well composed. Simple, elegant, and very memorable.

Amazing food. Very intimate environment . Their breakfast and dinner options are amazing . For dinner must try the pork chops and glazed duck . It's absolutely divine . The breakfast options are very filling and made with absolutely fresh ingredients. Loved eating here 😀

The 1640 bistro is located on the ground level of a hotel. Service was attentive and kind. Food was warm, brightly flavored, and comforting for a cold day in Quebec City.
