Established for a very long time, this family owned restaurant always offers excellent choice of Asian cuisine at a reasonable price. They offer full course menus, two including wines. The service is warm and attentive. The atmosphere is very pleasant. We always go there every time we go to Quebec City!

This place is a must-visit! Everyone there is warm, clear and super helpful. The staff mainly, Mathieu Decobert, Sin Bou and Sin Beng were extremely sweet and warm. The food is great, there are amazing vegetarian options. The food is supremely delicious and tasty!!! Must, must visit!!!

The restaurant is in the center of the old town. We really loved the atmosphere and the food. The lady that served us explained all the dishes and asked many times if was everything OK. We also have a lovely conversation about the time she spent in Italy on holidays. We really recommend it!

We eat here every time we visit QC. This restaurant is a local institution. It’s celebrating 45 years now. Very good Asian food. It clearly Thai by design but it offers a broad range of Asian dishes from different countries. One thing to keep in mind is that it has limited bar and wine choices but otherwise it’s a great choice for authentic Asian food. Make sure to make reservations as they seem to have limited staff and don’t seem to easily take walk ins. We made a reservation the day before and had no issues but we we got there a number of people were turned away as they were full.

Average food. Average service. They paid great attention to what must have been regular customers but we waited for service and were obviously not important. We felt very invisible. The Tom yum soup was very nice but everything else was very mediocre. The rice was terribly gummy. Would not recommend

Based on a visit Aug 2023We went to Apsara with high expectations. The menu looked appetizing the venue really good. The restaurant is well decorated and the wait staff dressed in costumes reflective of their cuisines. My wife & I love Thai cuisine. Reading the back story of how the restaurant came about we were that much more looking forward to it.Our food was delivered quickly. My wife's shrimp salad was delicious. My Tom Yum soup was tasty though I prefer it to be hotter (temperature). It was only lukewarm. My meal of Pad Thai was disappointing. So much so I even thought if they had got my order wrong. It had no peanut flavor. Just a bunch of steamed vegetables with rice noodles. I was so looking forward to a good Pad Thai....sigh.

We arrived at this restaurant on Tuesday at 5pm after a long drive. We did not make a reservation. We walked in to an empty restaurant and asked if we might have a table for 2. We were coldly asked if we had a reservation and we did not. The gentleman told us to "hold on a minute", talked to a woman who then told us that she could give us a table but we would have to vacate it by 7pm when she had a reservation. We told her it was no problem at all, that we would order promptly and be gone before 630p. They sat us down and were quite cold to us, taking our order but never asking how the food was.The food was very good but their cold treatment of us was inexcusable. The restaurant was no more than 1/4 full by the time we finished at 615pm. If they did not want us there they should not have seated us. I told them I did not have time to make a reservation and they opened at 5pm. While I recommend the food, I do not recommend this restaurant.

We came in the first day and the maitre'd said no we don't have reservations and they cannot take the two of us. They have two rooms full of tables. We called and made reservations. We came in and they could not find our reservation. He started yelling at us. We told him we did call. He walked away and would not look at us but yelled at his employee to seat us. He walked around clearing tables and speaking to everyone but us. The only time he came was when we paid with credit cards, and he took it away without even saying thank you. Rude behavior and poor service from the maitre'd. The restaurant is absolutely jammed pack with tables. The next room looks more roomy but they won't seat people there no idea why. The ladies are all dressed in traditional wear. The servers are really nice. The food was average, little flavor. We are used to authentic asian food . We ordered spring rolls, Bangkok rice, and Bangkok chicken. The tom yum soup is great. Its not a good experience.

Extremely racist.. stay away especially if you have a young kid.I would give 0 stars if google permits. We reserved a table for 5 adults and a toddler on Sunday evening. They messed up that and the “gentleman” there “ever so gently said I was lying” I reserved for 4 people. Everyone was tired and we are vegetarians so I just took it with a pinch of salt. We went there with our 2 yo who was exhausted from the long drive and was hangry. I kept the mobile on to keep him occupied, but he wasn’t having it, and they told ask your son not to shout as we have other guests. He’s 2 yo. His only way of communicating is crying and grunting. They were getting irritated by that and kept asking us to shut my son and warned us they will ask us to leave if my child cries next time or we should go out and calm our baby. My husband got irritated by their actions and asked if they want us to leave and they asked us to leave in middle of my son’s dinner. And on top of they expected us to pay for the soup which could be awarded world’s worst room temperature Tom yum soup. And yelled and asked us to behave ourselves, which was the funniest thing. Since they asked us to leave. This place ain’t cheap and we have dined from smaller eateries to 7 star hotels and restaurants all around the world, our little one was always welcomed and we never felt insulted at any place. Just by wearing a traditional attire doesn’t mean you are hospitable. It is something that runs in the blood. Our hosts were the worst. I will personally ensure no one in our circle gives them business. Sorry but I am not sorry since you asked us to leave in the middle of my son’s dinner.

Incredible Asian food with top notch service. We were warmly welcomed even though we didn't have a reservation. Many choices of Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Thai food along with other Asian specialties. The owners/servers were very friendly and helpful with ordering. They even brought us complimentary mango sorbet at the end of our meal. Everything was delicious!

I took my sister and niece to Quebec - I reside in New England. We were told by my (Indian decent niece) the food here was excellent. She went with my nephew who is of Cambodian decent. She told us they arrived very late and she walked in and got seated before my nephew showed up. They raved about this restaurant so I was excited to try it when his mom and sister came out recently . I reside in New England and we took a weekend in Quebec. When I walked in with my other niece and I spoke English to the owner,he was pleasant in greeting me with a “welcome and looking for a table?” We saw 3/4 tables available. Then my sister walked in and spoke greetings in Cambodian out of respect. To our surprise the owner abruptly said they had nothing available and we needed to book online for another time. His whole demeanor changed as soon as my sister spoke Cambodian. We ended up finding a little Chinese restaurant that welcomed us.Not sure if the owner became nervous with Cambodians eating at his Cambodian restaurant, but it was incredibly disappointing. Especially given we had traveled for hours excited to try this place. I’ve never experienced such a situation. Most Cambodian restaurant owners welcome their own people excitedly since we all experienced stories of escape and starting over.

extremely slow in serving food. I asked them when the main course gonna come, the waitress was playing phone and told me she already put in the order. That’s it….it’s been 40 minutes wait for our food. And the waitress was not even looking at me when I talk to her. She was with her phone the whole time.
