On our first visit to Quebec City, we booked a room at Auberge St. Antoine. We chose to have dinner at Bar Artefact on our first night since we arrived late in the day. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and in answering our questions. My husband ordered the beef tourtiere and was extremely impressed with the presentation and the flavors. His only complaint was that it wasn't large enough! I ordered a dinner sized ceasar salad and delicious risotto...
Came in for the afternoon tea; was disappointed to say the least.
All food options came from fridge to plate. One of our ceramic kettles was chipped at the spout and had specks of dirt.
All pastries were either mismatched in size. For the price I paid I was expecting something passable at least

Pretty average 5 star hotel bar
Stopped by on my last day in town since I was staying at the hotel. The bar sat right in the lobby, overlooking a small exhibit featuring a historic cannon under the staircase. They’re apparently better known for their weekend afternoon tea, which explained why it was nearly empty on a weekday afternoon.
The cocktail list leaned traditional. Mostly spirit-forward classics built around gin, rum, and vodka....
