Hello, for my part, my sister and I really appreciated Émérika's service, her good humor, her kindness and her desire to serve us well, ensured that we will repeat this customer service experience in Val Bélair, c for sure!! 🤗😊👍Let's not forget that the food and the presentation of our dishes were a beautiful 5 star. Thanks to the cook and Émérika and also thanks to the kind Usher! Hélène and Line.

We only have one downside in fact and for the entire chain. We are talking about saving the planet everywhere and also trying to reduce food waste however there is no proposal for 1/2 portion or light menu. C. A. D ex: eggs benedict no choice 2 eggs $19.99 at the same price as for one but, we don't all have the same appetite. It would be a huge waste in our case even if it would only be $2. Or $3 less would already show a positive intention to show interest in food waste.

I often go to Ben and Florentine, it's my favorite restaurant, but when I went to Val Belair I was really disappointed.
The waitress Karine was really unprofessional. When ordering we made a mistake on the name of a dish and when the waitress came to bring them to us we told her that it wasn't that and she replied: well that's what you got order I can bring you the card in an inappropriate tone we said ok well no problem we made a mistake. Some time later she comes by and asks us how things are going without waiting for our response she continues and asks the same sentence at the back table... a few minutes later we ask her for a glass of hot water to warm up the baby's bottle. When she was little, she never brought it to us!! At the end she asked us if everything was ok and if we ate well we just had time to answer that it depended on who she said it's not my fault and went to the kitchen... we asked what she comes to pay because she didn't come... really not satisfied with the waitress!!! I am disappointed with Ben and Florentine, I was used to better!

I am still satisfied with this place even after 4 years but an expansion sometimes would be a good idea especially when we see the popularity on weekends. Or otherwise seats to wait since there are a lot of elderly people

I went there often and recommended the place several times before but oh well. The last time after the meal, the waitress came to the table and told me that yes here the tip was at least 15%, that yes that's how it happens, that I wasn't satisfied with her work ect… I was very embarrassed, the customers were looking at me and according to my calculations I just rounded up the bill it represented 10-12% of the bill when I paid on the machine. My partner handed over a $20 bill because we were so shocked and uncomfortable.
A tip seems to me to be not obligatory and the minimum 15% is a recommendation. If the waitress is brave enough to say it loud and clear to customers in the middle of service in a full room… hum

All was ok at first. The food was okay and the waitress brought us our food. I don't remember her name (Ashley maybe??) But she had blond hair and white Nikey shoes with a pink check mark on them. When we finished paying she told us that we did not give enough tips and was kind of rude about it. She insisted that we cannot leave until we gave her more tips and sais we owed her $20 more (like what?!). We were really not impressed about this. Worst service ever. We had to pay a seperate bill for her "bonus tip" and then she just left afterwards. Very unpolite. You don't beg for extra tips?? We then wanted to speak with the manger but they were not there. We spoke with the front attendant and she said to leave a review on google about this and said sorry for the service... nothing more without even asking us what had happened. Very insulting. Not going back. To those reading this, be ready to be obliged to leave $30 tip.

Saturday July 20, 2024, 12:17 p.m. - 53 mins wait before receiving our dish... A1 service and A1 taste.... Waitress didn't give any explanation when she served us, so, we asked, she said ''We didn't know that we would be busy....What, the restaurant is half full! Hey boss, you have a problem, find it!!!!!
