Authentic French food in a cozy and warm atmosphere. We have been here twice, the first time I had the cassoulet, and last night I had the oso bucco and each were satisfying and magnifique!! The service has been consistently friendly and respectful. We will be back and likely be regulars.

The staff made my visit very enjoyable. The Beef Carpaccio tastes so good for an appetizer dish. The Seafood Stew (Ragout de la Mer) carries so much flavour and is filled with only quality seafood ingredients. The Cassoulet includes Duck Confit for really full flavour. Kudos to the chef (Philippe) for his meticulous choice of the best ingredients and his team's hard work to make these dishes outstanding. Also our thanks to our host and waiter Daevon for providing his excellent service to make my evening an unforgettable experience.

I finished the evening with a rich and creamy dessert with the Ameretto Creme Brulee. This dining experience will certainly guarantee my return to Bistro St-Malo!

Just ensure you make a reservation ahead of your visit. Walk-in visitors are likely to be turned away if it is a busy night.

Friendly staff, amazing food. Great value for your money.
We wanted to go to a different place just a few doors down, but there was a huge lineup and we wasn’t going to wait. I’m glad we decided to find another place. This was perfect, just what we needed.

Very rude and unprofessional service. I went at 3:00 PM to reserve a table and was told everything was fully booked. When I asked about the patio, the hostess said it was “first come, first serve” and that no reservations were allowed there. Later at 6:00 PM, I returned and saw empty tables on the patio, but the same hostess told me “all are reserved” and refused to seat me. Meanwhile, I literally watched other guests being seated without issue.

The constant contradictions and dismissive attitude made me feel extremely unwelcome. It’s hard not to suspect discrimination, since the treatment I received was completely different from how others in front of me were accommodated. Instead of offering help, she brushed me off and referred me elsewhere in a very rude manner.

I rarely write reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had—not because of the food, but because of the hostility and lack of respect at the door.

Had the mussels, they were tiny but fresh and the garlic wine sauce was simple and decent enough due to the good taste of the mussels. The beef cheek meal for $44+tax was super expensive and had a strong gamey taste, it sat beside a very salty concoction of mash potato sauce and broiled carrot and 3 green beans. It was very soft(being cooked for 30 hrs) but in my opinion, it was not a hit with me. A side of salad ,a very small bowl, with 7 tiny pieces of lettuce and some slices of pickles and carrot slivers costed $12 plus tax..not anywhere near a proper salad...a convenience store type would have been much better. There was absence of dressing...tasted like the pickle water.

Cute bistro in the heart of the city! I really enjoyed the food and service. The seafood stew was delicious with an abundance of seafood. Steak was tender and cooked to perfection. Dessert was refreshing on a hot day.

We stop by at 11 am and had a great lunch. Steam mussels, ceviche, carbonara, and duck confit (cooked beautifully). Highly recommended!

Everything about this place was great. It was a short walk from our hotel and we had many choices but we stopped here and we're glad we did. The mussels were fabulous!

Un bijou au Québec, le chef propriétaire Philippe est un passionné, une excellente gastronomie, et que dire de la tarte tatin, sûrement la meilleure monde,

Very rude hostess. We went there at 3:00 PM to reserve a table and was told the place was fully booked. When we asked about patio she said first come first serve and there is no reservation for patio. We went back at 6:00 PM and asked to be seated while there were available seats in the patio, the same hostess told us sorry all seats are reserved and was very rude.

We had a great experience dining in at this restaurant! The service was amazing, and the food was of good quality. We had a french onion soup, the beef carpaccio and the burratina pizza.
