Absolutely a tourist trap. Croissants for $20 and weak diner omelets for $25-30. Avoid at all cost

The French Onion soup was good, but the Irish Coffee was nuts. Loved it and our night out. Crepes are delicious, and the people friendly and kind.

Food and atmosphere was great and the staff went way above and beyond in making this a wonderful evening meal. Probably the best meal of our Old Quebec City vacation! They were having some trouble with their credit card payment system when we finished so there was a little delay in checking out but it was wonderful just sitting and enjoying the place and the server brought us a couple of shots as compensation. Like I said, above and beyond service!

If I had to describe my experience here in one word, it would probably be…. strange. We walk in and are promptly seated, which is good, but then the chaos ensues. Our waiter walks up and starts to tell my father how he is so lucky to be sitting with a bunch of women, and everyone laughs even though it did come off as a little weird. We order our drinks, and a new waiter comes up and pours our drinks for us while loudly talking, causing him to almost pour the drink everywhere. He asks us where we are from, and the waiter and my father start talking about hockey, and the waiter gets sort of… angry? Finally we order our food, and it comes out pretty quickly (with a different waiter serving us again?) and you could definitely tell why. The plating was… interesting to say the least, the food tasted like cleaning supplies, the chicken was rubbery, and the entire meal was also very overpriced for the portions that were given. Like the pizza was laughably small, and cost a grotesque amount of money. We begin to wrap up so we could leave, and the THREE DIFFERENT WAITERS keep coming up to us on 5 minute intervals. AND the entire time, a man who I would assume to be the owner (though I’m not sure) consistently turns down the lights to the point where it was genuinely dark in the room. My family finishes eating, and my father gets up to go pay the bill. One of the waiters comes up to the table where my mother, sister, and I are sitting and tells us that he will wait for my dad to come back to pay the bill. Why would my dad need to come back? Why did he assume that the man was going to pay even when my mother, who actually had a card, was sitting right there? When we get up to leave, another waiter comes up to us and tells us we have to stay because there is cake. Excuse me? Why would we stay to be served cake that we didn’t order? My family hurriedly speeds to the door, and one of the servers yells to me and my sister to, and I quote, “Stay beautiful just like we are!” Mind you this is a random full grown man that we have never met before. Obviously, I left very flustered by the entire situation, and I’m not even that mad because it’ll be a great story in the future lol. All around a very, very, very strange dinner experience.

A small friendly restaurant with a great deal for Chateau Briand for two .
The owner and staff treat you like family.
The meal was number one.

This place was absolutely amazing! It's one of the best meals of my life.

My husband and I went here because I saw on their menu that they serve coq au vin. It was a rainy night and we wanted to go somewhere cozy.

We ordered the fondue parmesan, baked cannelloni, coq au vin, and the maple pie.

Everything was delicious. It was very quiet and and the fireplace was lit and it was just the perfect evening.

Great lunch spot. Had the French onion soup with garlic bread and it was well done. My partner has the club sandwich and enjoyed it as well. Pricing is a bit on the higher side

Part of a tour group dinner. Maybe that's why the food is mediocre. The chicken breast is moist enough, but the taste is nothing special. The waitor was a joyful guy.

Food is good, services are great. Very kind people. But prices need to be competitive based on their size of servings.

My husband and I had the shared steak dinner which included an entree of either salad or soup and a beautiful chocolate cake dessert served with fresh berries for dessert. The steak is cooked in front of you, along with the vegetables and we chose to have it flambé, which costs extra but was so worth if for the spectacle! The staff made it fun! Wine was great! Perfect end to our stay in Quebec!

Severely overpriced for a very basic breakfast. Much better and affordable options are located in the same area.

Same experience as some other reviewers: the food is very good and the staff are the greatest. They obviously love serving the public and everyone is treated like family. If you want to remember a meal in Quebec City, don’t miss Cafe de Paris.

Super cute and cozy restaurant. We saw some bad reviews but are so glad we ignored these reviews and tried it ourselves. The staff was so much fun, food was fabulous and wine delicious. I had the Coq de Vin and husband had Beef Bourguignon. Extremely delicious! The Crème Brûlée was incredible. They had a special treat at the end but I don’t want to wreck the surprise. Our wait staff was really fun! Definitely recommend trying this place!
