This is a popular burger spot in the Quebec City area that we discovered last year. The Ashton burger is delicious for a fast food type of burger; there’s something about the seasoning! I can’t speak to any of the other items on the menu but the locations we have seen always look quite busy so I can imagine that the other options are quite good too. Hopefully one day the chain will make it’s way west towards Montreal and maybe into Ontario but for now, it’s only a Quebec City find!

Ashton in Quebec City was disappointing. The poutine was extremely ordinary—definitely not worth the hype. The fries and gravy were fine, fries were crispy, but the cheese curds had an odd, almost cardboard-like taste, which was very unusual. I was told it was worth a detour, but honestly, it wasn’t. Wouldn’t return. At least the restroom was clean.

Meals taken at the drive-thru. Very few customers, but still very slow. 4 minutes of travel to taste my dish. What a disappointment. Cold and the proportion for the price is truly shameful. You are not ready to see me again soon

Autrefois une fan des poutines Ashton, je ne peux plus en dire autant après ma visite d’aujourd’hui. Poutine régulière, sauce régulière… les frites étaient molles, la sauce tellement liquide qu’elle était tout au fond du plat et pratiquement pas de fromage. La sauce n’avait pas de goût. Bref, très décevante. Ça n’avait rien de la poutine Ashton que j’aimais tant. Ma prochaine visite sera loin, très loin.
