Big shout-out to Ashton, while the restaurants next to them are in a hurry to close their doors on Friday afternoon after 4.30pm, Ashton still offers food. The lady behind the counter was super friendly. Thank you Ashton !!!
I have been loyal to the restaurant at Ashton for more than 2 years now. Their poutine is always so good and their brown sauce always has such a unique taste (and being part of an immigrant family) it's this restaurant that introduced me to fabulous Quebec gastronomy. The roll is okay and the hot dog is nothing special. Note that the portions are not the most generous and that the prices are increasing at breakneck speed (like everywhere now).
This place has been pretty beaten down by the combination of covid and the fact that the menu hasn't changed since Adam was a boy. Three out of four of our last orders were incorrect which is pretty amazing given how few possible iterations are possible with the 4 ingredients on their menu. I do feel for their staff but there is a real reason why almost every store has closed in Quebec. Tired and old fashioned.
