Les pleurotes étaient décevantes, beaucoup de friture pour très peu de champignons, surtout pour le prix😒Par contre la salade est vraiment une bonne portion et la possibilité de mettre le jackfruit des bao en extra (extra 3$) était vraiment apprécié!!!

The fried chicken was hard and the bao buns dry and doughy. It may be because it was so busy, but the food wasn't prepared with care. I imagine it would have tasted much better if it hadn't been overcooked. Outside of dinner rush you might have better luck. I did enjoy the dessert of mango sorbet. My servers were all very attentive and courteous as well. No complaints of the service.

We tried some of the shareables, which were fantastic (fried chicken, bo bao, and fresh spring rolls). The atmosphere was really nice, the place is smaller – more intimate – and they played a good mix of music (hip hop, pop, etc.). Service was also great, staff is super friendly, regularly checked in on us, and was extremely accommodating. I made the mistake of booking bar seats when my wife is pregnant, and even though it was busy, they immediately moved us to seating where my wife would be more comfortable.

Pretty good, they hit the flavors in a safe way that won't overwhelm. If you like Thai/east asian dishes they know what they are doing. Lots of flavor bombs going on.
Most dishes are fairly small and can be shared. I think I would have like to be with more people to try more items before getting full!
While a lot of these items' authentic versions would be on the spicy side , these are on the mild end of the spectrum. I suspect if you want some real spiciness you'd have to ask when you order.

My husband and I were visiting from Maine and had our anniversary dinner at Chez Tao. The atmosphere was fun, service was phenomenal, and it was the most delicious food we had while in Quebec! Our server (I wish I knew her name!) was wonderful about recommending drinks based on our preferences. We shared the vegan spring rolls, fried chicken, and pad thai, and all three were amazing- fresh and flavorful. I saw that many reviews mention not being able to make a reservation, but we were able to make a reservation online. The only downside was that parking was a bit of a challenge because they’re in the midst of digging up the entire road the restaurant is on, but don’t let that deter you!

The expression “don’t be fooled by size” takes on its full meaning at Tao! A small place, but which hides a real treasure! The culinary experience is divine, with a tasty, fresh menu, carefully researched to tantalize our taste buds. The alcoholic menu is varied and surprises with the mix of flavors. We must also highlight the staff on site, available and keen to offer us unparalleled service. A point not to forget, the opening hours, ideal when a hunger strikes late in the evening. All of this offers us a most surprising place. An address that I will remember during my next stay in Quebec!
