Went here for a date and made reservations for 9 p.m. as I heard they get fairly busy. It is located in a sort of sketchy area as you do have to walk down an alley to get here. Since it is a speak easy it is a very discreet door you need to find. Once inside you are transported into a very cool, dim, busy atmosphere. There are booths and tables at the front but I sat in the back room which is much more intimate and quiet. Service was great and informative. Ordered a few cocktails (which are very creative and tasty.) Ordered a seafood platter which had a variety of items (tartare, sashimi, and oysters), great if you want to try different things and don't know what to get. The oysters were so good we ordered more separately. Also tried the mushroom dish (Mushroom 5 ways) but it was a littler underwhelming and I woudn't get again. Overall a really nice place for a date and good seafood. I would definitely recommend if you are in Montreal.

A big thank you to the entire team in the kitchen and on the floor! An extraordinary experience. We were a group of 5 for an important birthday. I asked Justin to prepare a little something for dessert. Responsive to my email, he assured me that it would be done. Hugo, our server, accompanied us throughout the evening with exemplary professionalism: always there but self-effacing, extraordinary suggestions (everything is good?), friendly without being intrusive. He followed the dishes with a relevant rhythm and with joy. On the plate side, overwhelming: flavors, varieties, sea and land, everything was well done, well presented and a mention for this shared 3-story tower as a starter and what can we say about the foie gras!! Wine list not too long nor too short, impeccable. And finally, a little something asked of Justin! Wonderful! First visit and not the last! Bravo and long life to jjacques!

If anyone deserves 5 stars it’s this place. We had the best time there last Friday. We had warm welcomes from the start and felt completely looked after. The cocktails and the food were exceptional. I want to send a shout out to Nicholas who took care of my husband and I for the evening. He explained everything too us and made the evening so much more special with his fabulous service. Thank you so much. I hope to get back someday.
