Delicious food, great wine, very nice service and all in a nice casual atmosphere. Wonderful experience and beautiful evening with friends and families!

Compersion. The opposite of jealousy. This is what you must practice to the other patrons. The server and chef make you feel like you are the only guests in their house. Then suddenly you look up and there are four other tables eating! What? There are other people here? You must not be jealous but have compersion for them as they are finding joy in the food that you are finding. The food was absolutely amazing! The lemon cauliflower base on the monkfish was delectable—Just as it felt to rich the thinly sliced fennel made it sing. Thank you for such a great experience. The entire evening was wonderful! Ludovic was fantastic and we got to share our favorite words in french and english. Great funky wine recommendations too!

I can't believe I hadn't written a review on this place before. I was providing a friend recommendations for Quebec City and suddenly thought about the food here. I visited about a year ago in May and this restaurant still lives rent free in my head. I went in with no expectations and no explanations on what this was. It was such a great meal with such a unique and wonderful experience. I don't want to spoil it too much with my review but this place was stellar and I would 1000% go back if I am in Quebec City again.

Quite special restaurant. I went there with my two daughters. The food is very good to excellent. Prices are in the high range, service is adequate and friendly. However the restaurant is very small, we are packed like sardines. Cooking is done on two electric cookers which appear to have been purchased from Compréts Émaüs. The residential dishwasher leaves you wondering about the health of the premises. The hood above does not seem to be working properly (or was simply not activated) so we are in a smog for a good part of the meal, especially at the beginning. The host presents the menu to us at the start of the service in a sort of speaker's speech which can last a good 20 minutes….it's long and what's more he explains in French and in English…it doesn't end…but it's is the concept….I do not advise you to speak to your partner at this time, you will be reprimanded publicly. I ordered foie gras. It was good but I would have preferred to fry it rather than chill it in the fridge. The duck breast was very…very rare and not very tender. Sweetbreads are very good. Pork cheeks, excellent. They ran out of bread, so no way to have a second portion to finish my sweetbread sauce or my foie gras. quite ordinary, thank you. And we recommend that you leave room after two hours for the other service. After a $350 bill…

This restaurant offers a unique dining experience that creates a fun and family like environment. There are two dining sessions and customers are seated simultaneously to prepare for the round of service. You start with some drinks and then the menu is explained in detail in both English and French to all customers.
The food is solid, especially the apps (buffalo mozz and sweetbreads were phenomenal) but there were some issues for the temperature of the proteins on the mains. We ordered duck and swordfish, which should be cooked between a medium rare to medium, but both our dishes were on the rare side of rare. Very undercooked with made the fish tough to eat as the connective tissues have not broken down. We expected a nice fish steak and instead got a more sashimi style strips that were almost inedible. The flavors on the duck dish were fantastic, but again…duck should not be served rare as there are some tough parts to chew through.
Desert was awesome and drinks were ok overall. The restaurant could use better ventilation as the entire building fills with smoke once they start cooking. Very nice guys though and cool atmosphere.

Interesting dining experience. It was our first time, and we did need some explaining of the concept. They have a seasonal or select small menu of a few appetizers to select from and a few main dishes to select from. At a certain point, they will explain the menu to the entire restaurant in the form of a group announcement in both French and English. They then come around and take your tables entire order. There was a bit of pressure to order now. Food is served when it's served. They do tell you they serve the restaurant in portions or sections at a time. Overall, it was a decent dining experience. The food was good, well prepared, presentation was good, portion sizes on the smaller to average side. I could recommend this restaurant for a small group wanting a different dining experience. Nothing really wowed me fully, though. Service is on the casual side. The main server was friendly, joking, and trilingual! What I personally found a bit lacking was the lack of a cocktail menu. They did have a wine menu and 1 seasonal cocktail. Although it was a bit on the fruity side. I personally prefer a few stronger craft cocktail options in a restaurant of this venu type.

This place surpassed all expectations we had. We brought a one year old to dinner, knowing it really isn’t a restaurant for kids, and they could not have been more accommodating or kind to us. Every so often the staff would bring different things to keep our daughter smiling and they’d spend time trying to get her to laugh. We were really blown away by our experience here.

And the food and wine were exquisite. I cannot say enough great things about this place. It was the least pretentious fine dining experience we’ve had. Can’t wait to go back.

If you are looking for a restaurant that stands out from the crowd, I highly recommend L'Affair Ketchup for the experience it offers.

The restaurant aims to be warm and seeks to make you feel at home.
The menu is dynamic depending on the seasons and is presented orally by the team. Their proximity concept works really well and I'm sure you'll have a great time (the service was great).

The food was delicious! In short, if I have to introduce the restaurants of Quebec to someone who has little time and who is looking for a warm experience, I will definitely suggest this restaurant.

We booked a month ahead, and they cancelled our reservation 24 hours before our booking without any warning. We came from Toronto and booked this specifically for our anniversary.

Everyone enters and starts ordering at the same time, the vibe was nice. But the food here doesn’t justify the wait or the hype. The dishes themselves were just average, not worth the time or effort.

One of the best restaurants in the city with a very, very, very rustic decor, with a good franquette feel. The waiter knows his slate really well, which seems simple but is full of details. Kudos to Charles "Chuck" who is an excellent host.

Each dish is sought after. Around between $15 and $20 for starters and between $30 and $45 for main courses. To go there and return there.
