A lovely dining experience in this quaint and cozy restaurant. It appears the menu changes on a daily basis based on the fresh ingredients available. The server orates the menu options to the patrons. I had an amazing steak entre and a lamb sweetbread appetizer. The food was delicious and they had a very nice wine selection. It was a unique and special dining experience. I highly recommend.

This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. They were attentive, warm, and took the time to explain the menu in both French and English, which immediately set the tone for a wonderful evening.
We started with Limbo Yuzu and lime Montellier, followed by the riz d’agneau, which was rich and absolutely delicious. For the mains, my fiancé had the confit filet de bœuf and I chose the fruits de mer. Both plates were exquisite and beautifully prepared.
Dessert was the perfect ending: brownie with chantilly and a flawless crème brûlée. Every bite was amazing.
More than a meal, this was a truly special, one-of-a-kind experience. Pure chef’s kiss. A must-visit in Québec City.

Really friendly staff, and an easy going ambiance. Sweetbreads, Gravalax, Beef and the pseudo-brownie were knockout, the pork ribs fell off the bone, but the accompanying sweet potato BBQ(?) sauce was off-note in my opinion. LaFK is different and a gem for pushing the boundaries of soulful food. !

Ignore any bad reviews. This place is a gem. Yes it looks like a run down house. But it’s as if 4 friends invited you to their home for a dinner party. Everyone was friendly, every bite tasty, and the waiters try really hard to pour drinks they know you’ll enjoy. There are no words to accurately describe this experience other than to say you can have Michelin quality food without a million dollar interior. Go for one of the most unique experiences in a warm, genuine, and inviting place. You’ll be glad you did!

Genuinely one of the worst fine dining experiences I’ve ever had and was very disappointed. Lots of other great options in the area. One of the servers was rude and made the experience feel unwelcoming and uncomfortable(not sure if its cause we didn’t order as much as other tables but I saw them being friendly with another table). The food was comparably not great for the price. Also the wait time was terrible. Waited 1h15m for the first appetizer and the whole experience was egregiously 3 hours. On top of that the atmosphere felt run down and cheap. I saw some people said it’s cozy but there is a difference between cozy and poor renovation.

Incredible! Both service and food. You walk in at your reserved time and its like walking into someone's cozy home. The staff were super friendly. They explained the menu in detail, in both French and English, prior to taking everyone's orders, then came back and explained the desserts to each individual table. Although our reserved time was 6-8:30, we never once felt rushed. The food was elegant and delicious. The portion sizes were perfect. I was truly blown away. I highly recommend going here if you are in Quebec City. I will definitely be returning.
Thank you to the 4 gentleman who run this incredible little restaurant, you made us feel like family!

I wish Google would have a 100 stars for reviews because 5 stars are too short for this resto. Very cool and homey, you feel you are hanging out at your friends house, but your friend is an excellent chef! If you are open to a new experience, this resto if for you!

What a meal this was. Just absolutely divine! It’s cozy, unpretentious, and incredibly welcoming. There’s two dinner seatings: 6PM & 830PM so I recommend making your reservations well in advanced as they are often booked. It’s a cozy little restaurant with 4 staff running it smoothly.
The evening started with drinks, followed by an explanation of the menu (EN/FR) to the whole restaurant. We ordered 1 entrees and 1 main each (as recommended by them) and left full & incredibly satisfied.
The menu changes seasonally and we were blown away by the flavours and creativity. For starters, we ordered the veal tataki, as well as the sweetbread (ris d’agneau). The latter is a must try delicacy — it was full of flavour and absolutely delightful. A highlight for sure!
For our mains, we ordered the lamb leg with couscous which was fall off the bone and incredibly delicious; as well as the pork which was definitely the surprise of the night! Every bite was intentional and addictive. The Brussels sprouts and squash puree with the fresh herbs - just 10/10. Very well paired!
Hospitality was great, food was great — it’s definitely a must try spot if you are visiting Quebec City.
Merci à tous!

The best experience and food! They are so intentional with every aspect of the menu. It was not stuffy and I did not leave hungry. I cannot recommend enough, the sweetbreads alone are worth a visit.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This place went above and beyond my expectations. My sister and I visited for my 22nd birthday and were really just interested in the food. Yes the food is off the walls incredible but the staff was even better. The were so personable, so fun and so accommodating to the fact that we didn’t speak french when explaining the menu. Will forever be my first recommendation to friends visiting.

Incredible ! Such an experience. We made reservations for 6:00. Promptly at 6:00 the menu is read and described in detail in both English and French. You can then watch the chefs perform their brilliant work in the back. The dishes are just as beautiful as they are delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing with quite an eclectic playlist. Servers are very friendly and knowledgeable. 1000% will be returning. 1000% recommend the sweetbreads

Easily our favourite restaurant during our trip to Quebec City! The menu options were varied and all delicious, but the vibes and service style were what stood out the most. As weird as it seems, the menu is written very simply on a chalk board when you come in, with no explanation of what the dish contains. The host then goes through each dish (in French, then English), explaining the components of the dish while adding in a few funny quips along the way. Really gave it a family-style vibe. All the staff were so friendly and talkative toward the guests, it was a great time. If you're lucky enough to get a reservation, definitely don't hesitate!
