Hector’s is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and an atmosphere that feels both authentic and welcoming. The food is absolutely incredible — every dish bursts with flavor and freshness. The tacos are perfectly seasoned, the salsa has just the right amount of kick, and the margaritas are spot on.
What really sets Hector’s apart is the attention to detail and care in both the food and service. You can tell everything is made with love, from the homemade tortillas to the slow-cooked meats. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of, and it never feels rushed even when they’re busy.

Wow after several years without having returned there simply by forgetting, what a pleasure to return there the meatloaves alone are worth the detour. Great service, the man at the counter welcomed us with a huge smile during the dinner rush and even took the time to ask us if we were satisfied

I went to get two club sandwiches. We are disappointed with the quality of the chicken. The fries are cold and lots of crumbs. The coleslaw is good but the container is too small. We won't go back there for sure.

I gave it 5 stars because of the impeccable cleanliness of the restaurant (they were even repainting it this week!) and the efficient service. I also really enjoyed the unlimited liquor.
However, the food lacks flavor. The meatloaf was very basic, with little seasoning, and the poutine lacked character. The sauce and cheese were bland.
Despite these drawbacks, it is a good snack bar in a good location, ideal for a break during a bike ride. We feel that the establishment is managed with care. The 5 stars are therefore justified overall.
